Funeral Cover Rewards Terms and Conditions

VodaPay Data Rewards

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Vodacom (Pty) Ltd and Vodacom Payment Services (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is giving all Vodacom customers with an active Vodacom Product offered on the VodaPay App.(“Vodacom Product”), an opportunity to get a discounted data of up 1GB per month provided they meet the set qualifying criteria. .
  2. The terms and conditions below are applicable for the VodaPay Data Rewards.
  3. Duration
    • The data rewards program will run from 24 May 2024 (start date) to December 2025 (the “End Date”).
    • Vodacom my change the start date and end date at their own discretion and without any prior approval.
  4. Eligibility and Participation (Qualifying Criteria)
    • You will only qualify for VodaPay Data Rewards if you:
      • Hold a valid and up to date Vodacom Product in your name and meet the minimum requirements for that product;
      • Are an active Vodacom contract or prepaid subscriber; and the reward will only be paid into a Vodacom sim card.
      • Have downloaded the VodaPay Application (the “VodaPay App”); have an active VodaPay Account and must visit the app at least once a month;
      • Have your Vodacom contact number as the primary contact number on your Vodacom Product and use the same on the VodaPay App;
      • Select to add the VodaPay Data Rewards at an additional cost to your existing Vodacom Product monthly payment. Only payments collected together with your Vodacom Product monthly payment will be eligible.
    • Once you have met the requirements set out in section 1 above, your data will be automatically allocated to your contact number by the 15th of the qualifying month;
      • Your data reward will only be allocated to the contact number provided on the policy, the number must be on the Vodacom network, and cannot be allocated on any number contact number nor exchanged for cash.
      • You must use your data within 14 days from the day you received it, Data reward will expire after 14 days  and any unused data benefit will be forfeited.
  5. Data Rewards
    • By meeting the eligibility and participation criteria as set out in section 4 , you will qualify to earn Data as a Reward.
    • You will receive an SMS and/or a message in the VodaPay App informing you of your reward once it has been allocated to you.
    • The data reward will be a data allocated to your Vodacom subscriber account.
  6. Minimum Requirements per Product:
    • Vodacom Personal Loans:
      • The Policy Owner must hold and an up-to-date Vodacom Personal Loan of at least R20,000 to qualify.

  1. Cancellations and Reinstatements
    • You can cancel the VodaPay Data Rewards at any time, by contacting the servicing department of the Vodacom Product you hold.
    • If you decide to cancel the VodaPay Data rewards within the cooling-off period of 30 days after the start of your Vodacom Product, we will refund any payments made provided no rewards was already allocated to you.
    • Cancelling the VodaPay Data rewards does not cancel the Vodacom Product you hold.
    • Cancelling your Vodacom Product automatically cancels the VodaPay Data Rewards, and no refund will be due to you.
    • You can reinstate your Vodacom Data Rewards at anytime prior to the End Date, provided you still have an active Vodacom Product, by contacting the servicing department of your Vodacom Product.
  2. Personal Information
    • Vodacom respects the right to privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously. Vodacom will only use your personal information for the purposes of the Data Rewards as stated in these terms and conditions and in accordance with Vodacom’s Privacy Policy available on, http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/privacy-policy.
    • You hereby consent to Vodacom share your personal information with third parties identified by Vodacom from time to time solely for the purpose of execution of the Data Rewards.
  3. General
    • Vodacom reserves the right to suspend this Data Rewards in the event of suspected abuse or fraudulent usage, outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non-commercial use.
    • Vodacom reserves the right to suspend, cancel or convert this Data Rewards on reasonable notice. 
    • Vodacom reserves the right to change and/or expand on these terms and conditions and will provide reasonable notice of any material changes prior to such change as and when the circumstances permit.
    • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA).
    • Vodacom’s decision on any aspect of the Data Rewards including the allocation of a Reward will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • In the event of a dispute regarding any aspect of the Data Rewards and/or the terms and conditions, Vodacom’s decision will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • Vodacom may refuse to issue the Reward if these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.
    • Vodacom and/or any other person or party associated with the Data rewards, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Data Rewards, shall not be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Dara Rewards or from claiming a Reward.
    • Vodacom, its directors, employees, agents, and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Reward nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than Vodacom itself.
    • If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Data Rewards or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Data Rewards being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all Vodacom Product holders hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.
    • All information relating to the Data Rewards which is published on any marketing material will form part of these terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
    • The Promotion is also subject to, and must be read in conjunction with, Vodacom’s existing terms and conditions applicable to its website and mobile site respectively as well as Vodacom Products’ terms and conditions.

Business Term Advance New Customer Funding Competition

Terms and Conditions:

Vodacom Payment Services (Pty) Ltd (“VPS”) is running a competition exclusively for new customers who do not currently hold a Business Term Advance product. To qualify, these customers must successfully apply for and receive funding via a VodaLend Business Term Advance during the campaign period. Eligible participants stand a chance to win one of two HP 15 i5 512GB laptops and a once-off allocation of 3 gigabytes (GB) of data (“the Prize”).

By participating in the competition during the Competition Period, new customers agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Duration

1.1. The Competition will run from 1 August 2025 to 31 August 2025 (“the End Date”), referred to herein as the “Competition Period”.

1.2. The Competition Period may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of VPS.

  • VPS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. Where changes are material, VPS shall provide reasonable prior written notice before implementation.
  1. Eligibility and Participation Criteria

2.1. Participation in the Competition is strictly limited to new customers who do not currently have an active VodaLend Business Term Advance product with VPS.

2.2. To be eligible, during the Competition Period, participants must:

2.4. Employees, directors and agents of VPS and / or its affiliate companies, participating stores, their immediate families, business partners, or anyone directly involved in the marketing or management of this Competition are not eligible to participate.

2.5   Multiple entries are not permitted

  1. Prizes

3.1. By meeting the eligibility criteria, each qualifying new customer will receive one entry into the draw to win one of two HP 15 i5 512GB laptops and a once-off allocation of 3 GB of data.

  • The 2 winners will be randomly selected after the Competition Period ends, from entries that meet all the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions and will be announced 15 days after the Competition Period ends.
  • Participants will need to present the requisite proof as required by VPS upon winning to validate the participants’ entry to the Competition.
  • The winners will be contacted during normal working hours, between 08:00 and 17:00 on business days.
  • VPS or its duly authorized agents will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners via phone call on the contact details provided by the participant when registering to participate in the Competition.
  • The claim for the Prize will be subject to security and validation, and VPS reserves the right to withhold the Prize until it is satisfied that the claim by a particular winner is valid.
  • Notwithstanding the fact that the Prize vest in the winners immediately upon the determination of the results, in the event that the required documentation from a particular winner has not been received at the agreed cut-off date communicated to the winner, or no effort is made on the part of any of the winners to make special arrangements to meet the deadline set by VPS, such Prize will be forfeited. VPS then reserves the right to award the Prize to the participant that is drawn next.
  1. Personal Information
  • VPS respects the right to privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously. VPS will only use your personal information for the purposes of the Competition as stated in these Terms and Conditions.
  • VPS shall request the winners’ consent in writing to their image and/or likeness being used and published by VPS in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after they have been announced as winners. The winners may decline the use of their image and/or likeness by VPS.
  1. General
  • In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Competition and/or these Terms and Conditions, VPS’s decision will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • VPS may refuse to award a Prize if any of the entry procedures or these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. VPS is entitled to in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected.
  • VPS is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation and / or the Prize redemption process of the Competition.
  • VPS, its directors, employees, agents, and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Prize nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees, or undertakings given by any person other than VPS.
  • If VPS is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Competition or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Competition being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against VPS and its associated companies, agents, contractors, and/or sponsor.
  • Neither VPS nor any other person or party associated with the Competition, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors, and any of its personnel involved in the Competition shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Competition or from claiming the Prize or after claiming the Prize.
  • In addition, neither VPS nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or Prize redemption process of the Competition.
