Power Voice bundles - R5 Voice bundle 

  1.  This bundle is available for Prepaid, uChoose and Top Up customers. This bundle is not available for Postpaid customers.
  2. The price of the bundle is R5 (incl VAT).
  3. The voice bundle is valid for 60 minutes from the time of activation.
  4. The voice bundle offers unlimited on-net Vodacom to Vodacom voice calls for the activity period of the bundle.
  5. The bundle cannot be used for: 
    1. Roaming Calls 
    2. VAS calls 
    3. Airtime Transfer 
    4. Premium rated call 
    5. International calls 
    6. Call Sponsor
    7. Fax Out dial  
  6. This bundle cannot be purchased between 18:00 to 21:00 hours on any day.
  7. The bundle is available for purchase for via: 
    1. MyPhone (*135#
    2. SMS 
    3. Vodacom online portal and mobile site 
    4. The VodaPay app

  9. Customers can purchase unlimited voice bundles.
  10. If customers buy multiple voice bundles of the same type then the bundle amounts will get added up and validity of the total amount will be the validity of the last bundle purchased.
  11. Once a bundle is purchased, a customer cannot cancel the purchase.
  12. If a prepaid customer converts to postpaid/Top up, any existing bundles will be forfeited.
  13. If a customer number is deactivated from the network, any existing bundles will be forfeited.
  14. This is a Consumer product and may only be used by an end-user (that is a natural person) to make calls or send SMS messages to another end-user (that is a natural person), with the intention to facilitate a personal communication between such end-users.
  15. The bundles may not be used for commercial purposes or as part of any bulk SMS sending service. Any use of this offer outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non- commercial use, and in instances through mechanisms and means not intended for personal use or the anticipated purpose of the offer, will be considered as abuse.
  16.  Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the service in the event of suspected abuse where non-compliant devices as specified by the regulating body ICASA are being used on the Vodacom network.

  5. This bundle cannot be purchased between 18:00 to 21:00 hours on any day. 
  6. Any unused MB's post 60 minutes after activation will be forfeited.
  7. The bundle is available for purchase for Prepaid and uChoose customers via:

  13. If a prepaid customer converts to Postpaid, any existing bundles will be forfeited. 
  14. If a customer number is deactivated from the network, any existing bundles will be forfeited.
  15. Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability. 
  16. Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs. 
  17. The bundles may not be used for commercial purposes. Any use of this offer outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non- commercial use, and in instances through mechanisms and means not intended for personal use or the anticipated purpose of the offer, will be considered as abuse. 
  18. Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the service in the event of suspected abuse where non-compliant devices as specified by the regulating body ICASA are being used on the Vodacom network. 

Power Data Bundle - 1GB for R12  

  1. This bundle is available for Postpaid customers.
  2. The price of the bundle is R12 (incl VAT). 
  3.  This bundle gives 1GB of data to use for 60 mins from the time of activation. 
  4. This bundle does not have an out-of-bundle rate and any usage after the bundle is depleted will revert back to the applicable data rate.
  5. This bundle cannot be purchased between 18:00 to 21:00 hours on any day.
  6. Any unused MB's post 60 minutes after activation will be forfeited.
  7. The bundle is available for purchase for Postpaid customers via USSD (dial *135#).
  8. You can check your bundle balance via:

  9. Customers can purchase unlimited Power internet bundles.

  11.  If a customer number is deactivated from the network, any existing hourly data bundles purchased but not yet depleted will be forfeited. 
  12. Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs. 
  13. The bundles may not be used for commercial purposes. Any use of this offer outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non-commercial use, and in instances through mechanisms and means not intended for personal use or the anticipated purpose of the offer, will be considered as abuse. 
  14. Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the service in the event of suspected abuse or non-compliance as specified by any relevant regulatory body.

Data Bundle Transfer Terms And Conditions

Bundle Transfer

Terms and Conditions 

The following terms and conditions relate to the Vodacom Bundle Transfer Service and do not replace any other terms and conditions, agreements or contracts which exist between the customer and Vodacom and their Service Providers. By using this service you accept these terms and conditions. 

HOW THE SERVICE WORKS 

  1. Bundle Transfer allows Vodacom customers to send SMS, MMS and Data Bundles to other Vodacom customers.

  2. Bundle Transfer is a transfer of airtime from the transferring customer that is immediately converted into a bundle for the receiving customer. 

  3. The airtime amount a customer may transfer for Bundle Transfer is limited to the SMS, MMS and Data bundles on offer via the MyPhone Service from time to time, and is not restricted to a minimum airtime amount. 

  4. The Bundle Transfer Service can also be used between customers who do not belong to the same Service Provider. 

  5. Bundle Transfer is a free service.

  6. The transferring customer will receive a confirmation SMS once the transaction has been completed successfully. The SMS will state the bundle type, size and the cost of the bundle, and the transferring customer's cell phone number. 

  7. The receiving customer will receive an SMS stating the bundle type, size that has been transferred, the validity of the bundle, and the transferring customer's cell phone number. 

  8. If a customer attempts a transfer via MyPhone Service when they do not have sufficient funds in their IN account (also referred to as "the wallet") they will receive a message: "You do not have sufficient funds to allow the transfer. Your transfer limit is RXXXXX." The limit they are given is the actual transfer limit, i.e. 80% of recharged value. 

  9. Data bundles available for Data Bundle Transfer are Standard Data Bundles, and are subject to the Standard Data Bundle Terms and Conditions which can be found at www.vodacom.co.za

  10. Once the bundle has been transferred, the transfer cannot be reversed.

ELIGIBILITY: 

Contract Customers:

  1. A contract customer must obtain permission from the Service Provider to be provisioned for the Airtime Transfer service (with the exception of Vodacom Service Provider customers who were pre-provisioned), in order to make use of the Bundle Transfer service.

  2. A contract customer may transfer an SMS, MMS or Data bundle to any Vodacom contract, prepaid or top up customer. 

  3. A contract customer can receive an SMS, MMS or Data bundle from another Vodacom customer.

  4. All Airtime Transfer business rules will apply in respect of the limit a customer has for bundle transfer. 

  5.  If the contract subscriber's phone is locked he will not be able to transfer a bundle. 

Prepaid Customers:

  1. All active Vodacom Prepaid customers will be able to transfer and receive SMS, MMS and Data bundles from another valid Vodacom customer. 

  2. Prepaid customers are automatically provisioned to make use of the service. 

  3. Bundles transferred to a Prepaid customer will be applied to the receiving customer's bundle account. 

  4. Any airtime that is provided on connection of any starter pack will not be allowed to be used to transfer a bundle. 

  5. Prepaid customers are only allowed to transfer bundles valued at up to 80% of the value of their accumulated recharges in their account; this excludes any credit acquired due the connection of any Vodacom Starter Pack.

  6. If the transferring Prepaid customer is locked for any reason, bundle transfer will not be possible. 


Top Up Customers:

  1. Top Up customers must be provisioned for this service by the Service Provider.

  2. All active Vodacom Top Up customers will be able to receive SMS, MMS and Data bundles from another valid Vodacom customer.

  3. Top Up customers are allowed to make use of Bundle Transfer

  4. Top Up customers may not use any of the credit they receive on the 1st of every month to transfer a bundle. 

  5. Top Up customers are able to transfer a bundle up to the value of 80% of all recharges made above the airtime credit received on the 1st of every month.


General 

  1. Vodacom does not make any express or implied representations, warranties or guarantees regarding the availability, accuracy, reliability, timeliness, quality or security of the Bundle Transfer Service

  2. To the extent permitted by law, Vodacom shall not be liable to the Customer or any third party for, and the Customer indemnifies and holds Vodacom harmless against, any expense, loss, claim, harm or damages (whether direct and / or indirect) suffered or sustained by the customer, which arises directly or indirectly out from the customers subscription to or use of this service. 

Business Rules 

Bundle Transfer is between Vodacom customers only.

Data Bundle options are limited to the Broadband Standard Once-off Bundle options. Please note that the last bundle purchased or allocated determines the tier (Advanced vs Standard) for all the bundles allocated to the customer.

All Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers may transfer an SMS, MMS or Data bundle if provisioned for this service.

All Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers may receive an SMS, MMS or Data bundle.

All Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers must be provisioned as per the current airtime transfer processes and rules. (Refer to Airtime Transfer Business Rules) .

Bundles can only be transferred if the sender has sufficient airtime available.

Prepaid and Top Up customers are only allowed to transfer 80% of their manual recharges, (excluding subscriptions) therefore customers can not transfer any airtime from the starter packs or their monthly subscription If your phone is locked, you will not be able to transfer a Bundle.

If the recipient's phone is locked, you will not be able to transfer an SMS, MMS or  Data Bundle.

Once a Bundle has been successfully transferred, both the sender and receiver will receive a confirmation SMS.

Once Off Data Terms And Conditions

30 Day Once - Off Data Bundle

Terms and Conditions

  1. The monthly once-off data bundles (the "Bundles") are available to Prepaid, Hybrid and Postpay customers only.
  2. You may purchase Bundles at a Vodacom Store or through the following self-service channels:
    1. 135# USSD;
    2. Tobi;
    3. WhatsApp;
    4. Masterpass;
    5.  Vodacom Express Recharge;
    6. Vodapay; and
    7. Financial Institutions.
  3.  You may purchase multiple bundles at any given time.
  4. All pricing of Bundles includes VAT.
  5. The balance of your bundles will be depleted for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected.
  6. The Bundles are valid for a period of up to 30 calendar days from the date that you made the purchase (the "Validity Period").
  7.  You can extend the Validity Period of the Bundles you initially purchased (the "Initial Bundles") by purchasing additional Bundles of the same size (the "Additional Bundles") before the Initial Bundle have expired. The purchase of the Additional Bundles will result in the Validity Period being extended and calculated for the date that you purchased the Additional Bundles.  
  8.  If your Bundle is depleted and there is no other applicable data bundle remaining, all data usage will be stopped by default or you will only be able to use data at out of bundle rates if you have opted in to current out-of-bundle data charges.
  9. If a Bundle reaches the Validity Date and expires before the Bundle is depleted, data usage will continue at the Out of Bundle rate, applicable to the tariff.
  10. Data transfer will apply, whereby you have the ability to transfer the bundle to other Vodacom customers. Please visit the data transfer terms and conditions for full details:

  11. If you have bought more than one Bundle, the Initial Bundle will be depleted first.
  12. The Bundles do not apply to data roaming.
  13. Vodacom will at all times allocate to you the Bundles that you have paid for and shall not pro-rate or make deductions on such Bundles.
  14. There will be no Night Owl data allocation on the monthly promo data bundles.

MMS Bundles Terms and Conditions

MMS Bundles

General 

  1. MMS Bundles are available to all Vodacom Contract, Top up and Prepaid customers.
  2. Once-off MMS Bundles and/or MMS Bundle subscriptions are available to Contract, Top up and Prepaid customers.
  3. All stated prices for the MMS Bundles include VAT.
  4. If a Contract, Top Up or Prepaid customers are deactivated from the Network then any existing MMS Bundle will be forfeited.
  5. MMSs in the bundle are for national use only.
  6. International and premium rated MMSs do not deplete the bundle and will be charged at their specified rates. All MMSs to email addresses to be rated and discounted as national MMSs (as per current rating model).
  7. The MMS Bundle can be used for sending MMSs all day, there is no peak or off-peak differentiation.
  8. Once the MMS Bundle has been depleted then the customer will be charged at the stated out of bundle MMS rate. These charges will be billed as normal to the contract customer and will deplete the Top up and Prepaid customers' airtime wallet as per normal.
  9. Promotional / Loyalty MMSs (when offered) will be used before the MMS Bundle.
  10. Vodacom reserves the right to change or modify these terms and conditions at any time with the method of notice as determined by Vodacom from time to time.
  11. These terms, the terms and conditions contained on Vodacom's website as well as the standard terms and conditions relevant to your airtime agreement govern the agreement between you and Vodacom to the exclusion of any and/or all other terms and conditions

Contract 

  1. Contract customers can call their Service Provider to subscribe to a Once-off MMS Bundle or an MMS Bundle subscription of their choice.
  2. Contract customers can call their Service Provider to cancel their MMS Bundle subscription. One calendar month's notice must be given.
  3. Only one MMS Bundle subscription can be subscribed to at a given time.
  4. Customers can have one subscription and multiple Once-off MMS Bundles simultaneously.
  5. Customers can purchase multiple Once-off MMS Bundles.
  6. The MMS Bundle subscription will be loaded on the first day of the month and must be used within the month. Unused MMSs will be forfeited at the end of the month.
  7. Once-off MMS Bundles are valid for 30 days from date of activation. Unused MMSs will be forfeited at the end of the 30-day period.
  8. In the case of multiple Once-off MMS Bundles, these MMSs will expire 30 days from the activation date of the last Once-off MMS Bundle purchased in that month. To cancel an MMS Bundle subscription, customers should contact their Service Provider.
  9. Contract customers converting to Prepaid will forfeit their MMS Bundle and need to subscribe to the service again.
  10. Contract customers converting to Top Up will forfeit their MMS Bundle and need to subscribe to the service again.
  11. Migration between bundled services will be pended until the last day of the month

Top Up 

  1. Top Up customers can call their Service Provider to subscribe to an MMS Bundle subscription of their choice.
  2. Top Up customers can purchase Once-off MMS Bundles by making use of current self-service purchasing channels (*135# and SMS).
  3. Top Up customers will be able to view their MMS Bundle remaining by dialling *135#.
  4. Customers can have one MMS Bundle subscription and multiple Once-off MMS Bundles simultaneously.
  5. Customers can purchase multiple Once-off MMS Bundles.
  6. The MMS Bundle subscription will be loaded on the first day of the month and must be used within the month. Unused MMSs will be forfeited at the end of the month.
  7. Once-off MMS Bundles are valid for 30 days from date of activation. Unused MMSs will be forfeited at the end of the 30-day period.
  8. In the case of multiple Once-off MMS Bundles, these MMSs will expire 30 days from the activation date of the last Once-off MMS Bundle purchased in that month.

Prepaid 

  1. Prepaid customers can purchase an MMS Bundle by dialling *135# (free) or by sending an SMS with the keyword (25, 50 or 100) to 136 from their cellphone. 
  2. Prepaid customers can subscribe to a Once-off and/or recurring MMS Bundle of their choice. 
  3. To find out how many MMS remaining customers can dial *135# free from their cellphone. 
  4. The MMS Bundle purchase will be deducted from the customer's airtime credit. 
  5. The MMS Bundle must be used within 30 days of purchase. Any unused MMSs will be forfeited on day 30. Once a Prepaid customer has purchased an MMS Bundle, there are no reversals. At no time can the MMS Bundle be converted to airtime credit. 
  6. Prepaid customers migrating to different Prepaid tariff plans via FreeChange will carry over their MMS Bundle. 
  7. Prepaid customers converting to Top Up will be able to retain their MMS Bundle. The MMS Bundle will be extended to the end of the calendar month.
  8. Prepaid customers converting to Contract will forfeit any remaining MMS Bundle at the time of conversion.
  9. In the case of multiple Once-off MMS Bundles, these MMSs will expire 30 days from the activation date of the last Once-off MMS Bundle purchased in that month.
  10. To cancel an MMS Bundle subscription customers can send a keyword SMS to 100. For example - SMS "MMSS 25 STOP".
  11. Prepaid customers converting/migrating to Top up will retain their MMS Bundle totals with the exclusion of Loyalty and Promotional bundle totals that will be forfeited. These will be valid until original expiry date of the current bundle purchased.
  12. Prepaid customers converting/migrating to Contract will forfeit their MMS Bundle and need to subscribe to the service again. 
  13. Migration between bundled services will be pended till the last day of the 30-day period.

These terms and conditions relate to the SMS Bundle offering from Vodacom. By using or subscribing to the Vodacom SMS Bundle service ("the Service") the Customer agrees that s/he has read, understands and is bound by the following terms and conditions and the terms and conditions available on the Vodacom Website referring generally to all services offered by Vodacom. 
 

General 

  1. SMS Bundles are available to all Vodacom Contract, Top up and Prepaid customers.

  2. Once-off SMS Bundles and/or SMS Bundle subscriptions are available to Contract, Top up and Prepaid customers.

  3. All stated prices for the SMS Bundles include VAT.

  5. If a Contract, Top Up or Prepaid customers is deactivated from the Network then any existing SMS Bundle will be forfeited.

  6. SMS's in the bundle are for national use only.

  13. The SMS Bundle subscription will be loaded on the first day of the month and must be used within the month. Unused SMS's will be forfeited at the end of the month.

  14. Once-off SMS Bundles are valid for 30 days from date of activation. Unused SMS's will be forfeited at the end of the 30-day period.

  5. Top Up customers converting/migrating to Prepaid will retain their SMS Bundle totals. These will be valid until original expiry date of current bundle purchased.

  6. Top Up customers converting/migrating to Contract will forfeit their SMS Bundle and need to subscribe to the service again.

  7. Migration between bundled services will be pended till the last day of the month 

Prepaid 

  1. Prepaid customers can purchase an SMS Bundle by dialling *135# (free) or by sending an SMS with the bundle size to 136 from their cellphone.

  2. To check the number of SMS's remaining in their bundle, a customer can dial *135# free from their cellphone.

  3. The SMS Bundle purchase will be deducted from the customer's airtime credit.

  4. Both Once-off and Month-to-month SMS Bundles must be used within 30 days of purchase. Any unused SMS's will be forfeited on day 30. 

  5. Once a Prepaid customer has purchased an SMS Bundle, there are no reversals. At no time can the SMS Bundle be converted to airtime credit.

  6. Prepaid customers migrating to different Prepaid tariff plans via FreeChange will carry over their SMS Bundle.

  7. Prepaid customers converting to Top Up will be able to retain their SMS Bundle. The SMS Bundle will be extended to the end of the calendar month.

  8. Prepaid customers converting to Contract will forfeit any remaining SMS Bundle at the time of conversion.

  9. To cancel an SMS Bundle subscription customers can send a keyword SMS to 100. For example - SMS "SMSS 25 STOP"

  10. Prepaid customers converting/migrating to Top up will retain their SMS Bundle totals with the exclusion of Loyalty and Promotional bundle totals that will be forfeited. These will be valid until original expiry date of the current bundle purchased.

  11. Prepaid customers converting/migrating to Contract will forfeit their SMS Bundle and need to subscribe to the service again.

Terms and conditions

  1. Once-off MBB data bundles will be available to the following customer types:
    1. 12 & 24 -month Mobile Broad Band Contract and Top Up price plans
  2. The Once-Off MBB data bundles will be available through the following self-service channels;
    1. USSD (*135#)
    2. Vodacom Online and App
    3. Customer Care  (082 135)
    4. Vodacom Shops
  3. All Mobile Broad Band Once-Off data bundle pricing includes VAT.
  4. Customers will be charged for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected.
  5. Mobile Broad Band Once-Off data bundles are valid up to 24:00 on the 30th day from and including the day of purchase.
  6. Customers can extend the validity of their MBB once-off data bundle by purchasing another MBB once-off bundle of the same size before the initial bundle has expired. This will extend the validity of the initial bundle to that of the second bundle that was purchased.
  7. Once a MBB once-off data bundle is depleted and there is no other applicable data bundle remaining all data usage will be stopped by default. Customers will only be able to use data at out of bundle rates if they have opted in to current out-of-bundle data charges. If a MBB once-off data bundle expires before the allocation is depleted, data usage will continue at 49c/MB.
  8. MBB once-off data bundles can be transferred to applicable Vodacom customers. Please visit the data transfer terms and conditions for full details:
  9. MBB once-off data bundles will utilised after bundles that were bought before it are depleted. Please note that in the instance that shorter validity bundles are bought after the MBB once-off data bundles Vodacom may allow these bundles to be depleted first, depending on which bundle expires first.
  10. Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability.
  11. SMS messages are charged at R0.80c during peak times R0.35c during off-peak times. MMS messages are charged at R0.80c during all times. Respective SMS & MMS bundled rates apply if applicable.
  12. Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs.
  13. Mobile Broad Band Once-Off data bundles do not apply to data roaming.
  14. Night Owl Data does not get allocated to Mobile Broad Band Once-Off data bundles.
  15. No pro-ration is applied, the full allocation is always received, and the full charge is always applied.
  16. Customers will receive applicable data usage notifications for usage of their MBB data bundles in combination with any other general data bundles active in their account, if applicable.

The MBB Journey Enhancement (My Vodacom App)

This service "feature" allows for convenient and seamless linking of MBB data sims through a Wi-Fi network. This will conveniently enable you to view your MSISDN and purchase data bundles via the My Vodacom App. Please see terms and conditions below:

  1.  This feature is available to Hybrid and Postpaid customers.
  2. This feature is available to new and existing Vodacom customers.
  3. If you're a new customer then:
    1. You need to download the "my Vodacom App" on your respective app store (Android: Google Play & IOS: App Store).
    2. Once app is downloaded, you need to create a Vodacom profile & link your MSISDN using the header enrichment feature.
  4.  If you're an existing customer then:
    1. You need to have the "my Vodacom App" on your cellular device.
    2. You need to link your data contract MSISDN to your existing Vodacom online profile using header enrichment.
  5. Once your profile has been set up, you need to establish a WIFI connection with your modem.
  6.  Once the WIFI connection has been established you will be prompted to click on the "Link Number" button that will retrieve your data sim MSISDN.
  7. Once you retrieve your MSISDN, you will be requested to confirm the presented MSISDN by clicking on the "Link Data Sim" button.
  8. It is your responsibility to ensure that your MSISDN is kept confidential.
  9. Once you have confirmed your MSISDN, then you will be redirected to the homepage of the "my Vodacom App", where you will be able to seamlessly and conveniently purchase data bundles and monitor data usage.
  10. You are at risk to expose the data contract MSISDN when you share your WIFI password to any external parties. Kindly note you are at risk if the external party has the "my Vodacom App".
  11. Vodacom is not liable for any additional connections to your WIFI modem.
  12. Vodacom is not liable for multiple accounts/profiles linked to your Data Sim MSISDN.

Termination/Limitation of Services

  1.  Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the Service in the event of suspected abuse or fraudulent usage, outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non-commercial use.
  2. Vodacom reserves the right to limit the Service in regions or areas where there is limited network capacity (high congestion) in order to maintain consistent quality of service.
  3.  Vodacom reserves the right to alter or terminate the Service in order to prevent catastrophic impact on the network.
  4.  While Vodacom will use its reasonable endeavours to provide the Service, it does not commit to the uninterrupted supply of the Service, due to potential capacity limitations on the network.
  5. Vodacom reserves the right to suspend, cancel or convert the Service with reasonable notice.

Vodacom reserves the right to change and/ or expand on these terms and conditions and will provide reasonable notice of any material changes prior to such change as and when the circumstances permit.
