Vodacom NXT LVL Customer Content Campaign

Terms and Conditions:

Vodacom (Pty) Ltd ("Vodacom") is running the Vodacom "NXT LVL Customer Content" Campaign (the "Campaign") inviting you to submit your content with a chance of it being selected to be used on social media, billboards, or radio.

By and participating in the campaign, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the "Terms") and acknowledge that these Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Vodacom.

The Campaign is open to all persons under the age of 25 from 14 June 2021 to 30 September 2021.
The duration of the campaign may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.


  1. In order to participate in the Competition, you must:

    1. Submit any video, image, Gif, artwork, or radio idea that demonstrates what NXT LVL means to you.

    2. Use any one of the following hashtags as a theme for your submission:

    1. Upload your content to any social media platform and tag @Vodacom.

    2. Ensure that your content is clear and of good quality in order to be selected.

    3. Ensure that content is not of any defamatory, vulgar or offensive nature

    4. be a natural person that is under the age of 25.

    5. have a SIM card that is RICA registered in terms of the relevant South African RICA legislation;

    6. Reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document or permanent residence permit or temporary residence permit valid for a period exceeding 3 (three) months for the Republic of South Africa and valid at the End Date.

  3. You may participate multiple times, however you cannot be selected more than once.

  4. There are no additional charges for participating in the Competition apart from the standard data costs to upload your content.  Standard data costs apply as per the user's Service Provider and existing price plan for data usage.

  5. You acknowledge and agree that Vodacom may share and re-post the content you create and publish on all Vodacom social media platforms, billboards, or radio platforms throughout the campaign from the 14 of June 2021 to the 31th of March 2022.

Content selection

  1. The best content will be selected on or after the End Date from all eligible submissions who meet all the requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions. The verified content creators will be notified within three (3) working days after he / she has been selected and verified. 

  2. All content will be hosted on a central repository hosted on the Vodacom Website for access to all users.

  3. Selected content creators will be credited by the inclusion of their social media handle at all times.

Winner Validation

  1. All information you provide for the purpose of this Campaign shall be managed, captured and approved by Vodacom.

  2. If you are one of the selected creators of the campaign:

    1. Vodacom shall share all your personal details with a Vodacom approved third party agency for the purpose of notifying you that you have been selected;

    2. Vodacom or its agent will use reasonable efforts to contact you via direct messaging on your social media profile on the contact details you provided for a period of 3 (three) business days after your name has been drawn and verified.  You will be contacted during working hours of 8 (eight) in the morning and 5 (five) in the afternoon. If Vodacom or its agent is unable to reach you, or you reject, forfeit or decline inclusion of your content, your content will be hosted on the repository only, and not included in the main campaign.

    3. Vodacom shall request your consent in writing to use your image and/or likeness to be published in connection with the campaign for a period of 12 (twelve) months after you have been selected.

Personal information

  1. User data collected via the campaign will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the campaign.

  2. Vodacom respects the right to privacy and takes the protection of personal information seriously. Vodacom will only use personal information for the purposes of the competition as stated in these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with Vodacom's Privacy Policy available on, http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/privacy-policy.


  1. Nothing in these Terms is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").

  2. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Campaign and/or the Terms, Vodacom's decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

  3. Vodacom may refuse to include any participant / content if entry procedures or these Terms have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.  Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected. 

  4. Vodacom does not guarantee data transfer speeds and are dependent on network availability and utilisation.

  5. Vodacom and/or any other person or party associated with the Competition, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Competition, shall not be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from participation in the Campaign.

  6. Vodacom is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation process of the Campaign.  In addition, neither Vodacom nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating process of the Campaign.

  7. Vodacom, its directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of the campaign nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than Vodacom itself.

  8. If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Competition or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Campaign being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.

  9. All information relating to the Campaign which is published on any marketing material will form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
