If you want to move to a Vodacom Prepaid, Top Up or Contract price plan, simply submit your details online or alternatively visit your nearest Vodacom Shop with your ID or passport, proof of residence, most recent bank statements going back 3 months stamped by the bank, a copy of your most recent payslips going back 3 months and we willl do the rest.
We will do a credit check and ask your current network provider if your number can be ported.
When all the approvals are received, you will sign your new contract and we will send you all the equipment, including your new Vodacom SIM card.

Port requests are processed on weekdays (except public holidays) between 19:30 and 23:30. When requesting to port, you can ask to have it done on the same day or you can select a date no more than 30 days later.
If you want to move to a Vodacom Prepaid, Top Up or Contract price plan, simply visit your nearest Vodacom Shop with your ID or passport and proof of residence, and we'll do the rest. If you have a RICA-registered SIM card, you can port your Prepaid number via SMS.
Use your existing SIM card to SMS "portme" followed by your Vodacom Prepaid SIM card number to 082PORT2US (0827678287) from your existing SIM.
Example: "portme 1234567789808" to 0827678287
Wait for the confirmation SMS.
Yes, if your port got approved today, your Prepaid number will be ported between 19:30 and 23:30 this evening, except on weekends and public holidays.
