How do I set up my Vodacom Home Internet (5G or LTE) router?

Setup is plug and play. Insert the Vodacom SIM, connect the power cable, switch the router on, and connect using the Wi Fi name (SSID) and password on the sticker under the router.

Connect to Wi‑Fi, open 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, log in (default usually admin), go to Wi‑Fi/WLAN Settings, update the SSID and password, then save. 

How do I reset my router to factory settings?

Press and hold the Reset hole at the back of the router for 10 seconds while powered on. Defaults will be restored.

Can I use the SIM card in another device?

No. Home Internet SIM cards are locked to the supplied router.

What is buffering?

Buffering occurs when content pauses because data cannot download fast enough.

What happens during a power outage?

The router will go offline unless connected to a UPS.

Can I use Home Internet as mobile Wi Fi?

No. The service is restricted to the registered address.
