Out Of Bundle Limit Lock Terms And Conditions

Data Services Out Of Bundle Limit Lock

These terms and conditions apply to the Out of Bundle Limit Lock(s) which Vodacom will apply to your data services, voice services and SMS. 

1. Vodacom Out of Bundle Limit Lock applies to data services for all Top Up and Postpaid Subscriptions for Vodacom Business Customers.

2. In the event that you or your company’s authorised administrators, Master Account Holders or Primary Decision Maker(s) (“Authorised Persons”) have not opted in to being charged out of bundle rates in respect of data services, then as soon as you reach your allocated data usage as per your Price Plan, the Out of Bundle Limit Lock will automatically suspend your access to the Vodacom Network for data services.

3. If you or the Authorised Persons have opted in to being charged out of bundle rates in respect of data services, then you will be charged out of bundle rates for data services in accordance with your applicable Price Plan.

4. Once opted in, you can request:

a. No limit lock be applied to the out of bundle charges for data services (and therefore charges for data at out of bundle rates will be unlimited); or 

b. To set an Out of Bundle Limit Lock for data services by choosing a Rand value (excluding VAT and any monthly subscription charges) to be spent on data services, and when you reach this Rand value, Vodacom will automatically suspend your access to Vodacom Network for data services only. 

5. The Out of Bundle Limit Lock will not apply to out of bundle charges incurred prior to requesting the activation of the Out of Bundle Limit Lock. 

6. You will receive a notification when the Out of Bundle Limit Lock has been activated, which will occur between 24 to 48 hours from confirmation of receipt of the request. 

7. The Out of Bundle Limit Lock will calculate the balance of the out of bundle charges you have been charged for data services on a calendar month basis and will reset to R0 at the beginning of each month.

8. The Out of Bundle Limit Lock will automatically suspend your access to data services as soon as you reach the predetermined Rand value and you will lose connectivity to the Vodacom Network in respect of data services only. 

9. You can resume data service(s) when:

a. you purchase an additional  data bundle; or

b. The Out-of-Bundle Limit Lock is removed upon request; or

c. The Out-of-Bundle Limit Lock Rand value is increased upon request. 

10. The Rand value to which the Out of Bundle Limit set is exclusive of VAT. Out of bundle charges will be billed in addition to any monthly subscription charge(s).

11. The Authorised Persons with applicable account administrator privileges, Self-Service privileges or Out of Bundle Limit Lock privileges will be able to opt-in to out-of-bundle charges for data services in respect of each user and set the Rand value for the Out of Bundle Data Limit lock applicable to the out-of-bundle charges for data services for that user.   

12. Out of Bundle Limit Lock Rand values can be set by Authorised Persons by using the following channels:

a. USSD (*135#);

b. Customer Care

13. You will receive notifications when you have:

a. Opted-in to  being charged out of bundle data rates and have selected the Rand value applicable to the Out of Bundle Data Limit Lock;

b. Increased or decreased the Rand value of the Out-of-Bundle Limit Lock;

14. The Authorised Persons may choose to opt-out of being charged out of bundle data rates upon request. The opt out will take effect between 24 to 48 hours from confirmation of receipt of the request and will not apply to any out of bundles charges already incurred.  

Voice Services and SMS

15. No Out of Bundle Limit Lock will automatically apply to voice or SMS services. 

16. The Authorised Persons may request to set an Out of Bundle Limit Lock for voice and / or SMS services by choosing a Rand value (excluding VAT and any monthly subscription charges) to be spent on voice or SMS services.

17. The same terms and conditions as set out above will apply. 

General

18. These Terms and Conditions do not replace any other terms and conditions, agreements or contracts that exist between you and Vodacom.

19. Vodacom reserves the right to modify the Service(s) where reasonably required and may from time to time expand on these Terms and Conditions. You will be bound by all current Terms and Conditions, so please update yourself with them on a regular basis.
