Vodacom PowerFlex is a flexible month-to-month mobile subscription plan that gives customers data voice minutes without a long-term contract, paperwork or credit check. Customers can choose a plan, pay monthly, and manage their subscription online or in the VodaPay app.

How does Vodacom PowerFlex work?

PowerFlex works by letting you choose a monthly mobile plan, pay your subscription fee, and receive your included bundles automatically each month. You can change, upgrade, downgrade or cancel your plan when your needs change, subject to the applicable terms.

Who can sign up for Vodacom PowerFlex?

You can sign up for PowerFlex if you meet the required eligibility checks, have a valid South African ID or valid passport where required, and can complete payment with a bank card or sufficient airtime balance depending on the available payment option. New SIM or eSIM activations must also complete the required RICA process.

Can I keep my current Vodacom number with PowerFlex?

Yes, eligible Vodacom prepaid customers can keep their existing number when moving to PowerFlex through the “Keep My Number” journey online or in the VodaPay app. If your number is not eligible, you will be notified during the sign-up process.

Can I join PowerFlex if I am not currently a Vodacom customer?

Yes, non-Vodacom customers can join PowerFlex by purchasing a new PowerFlex SIM online or by porting their number to Vodacom first and then subscribing to a PowerFlex plan once the number is active on the Vodacom network.

Where can I buy or subscribe to Vodacom PowerFlex?

You can subscribe to Vodacom PowerFlex online on the Vodacom website or through the VodaPay app. Eligible customers can choose a new SIM, activate an eSIM where available, or use the “Keep My Number” option to move an existing Vodacom prepaid number to PowerFlex.

Do I need a credit check for Vodacom PowerFlex?

No, Vodacom PowerFlex does not require a credit check. It is designed as a flexible prepaid monthly subscription plan, so you can get monthly connectivity benefits without applying for a traditional contract.

Is Vodacom PowerFlex a contract?

No, PowerFlex is not a long-term contract. It is a month-to-month prepaid subscription plan that gives you recurring monthly benefits with the flexibility to change or cancel your plan.

Can I change my PowerFlex plan after subscribing?

Yes, you can change your PowerFlex plan when your needs change. If you select a new bundle, you may be charged for the new plan immediately, and any unused benefits from your previous bundle may remain valid until their original expiry date.

Can I cancel Vodacom PowerFlex at any time?

Yes, PowerFlex is designed to be flexible, so you can cancel your monthly subscription when you no longer need it. Cancellation should be done through the VodaPay app.

How do I pay for Vodacom PowerFlex every month?

You can pay for your PowerFlex plan using the supported payment method available during sign-up, such as a bank card or airtime where applicable. Once payment is successful, your monthly bundles are allocated automatically.

What happens if I run out of my PowerFlex data or minutes?

If you use up your PowerFlex bundles before the next monthly allocation, you can buy additional Vodacom data or voice b through the usual Vodacom purchase channels to stay connected.

Do unused PowerFlex bundles roll over?

Any unused data or voice benefits from the previous bundle will be carried over to the new bundle and will remain valid until their original expiry date.

Does Vodacom PowerFlex include streaming rewards?

Yes, customers who subscribe to the PowerFlex price plan are eligible to receive 12 months of free access to the Prime Video Mobile Edition subscription and 2 months of free access to YouTube Premium.

Can I get PowerFlex with an eSIM?

PowerFlex may be available with a digital eSIM during the online subscription journey where supported. Customers must follow the eSIM activation process and complete any required verification steps.

What documents do I need for a new PowerFlex SIM?

For a new PowerFlex SIM, you may need a valid South African ID or valid passport and any required RICA verification information. If your SIM is delivered, you may also need to present the required identification documents to complete verification.
