How do I transfer data to another Vodacom number?
Transfer data using the *135# USSD menu:
- Dial *135# and select Services.
- Select Data Transfer.
- Choose a bundle size and enter the recipient’s number.
Note: Prepaid → Prepaid only. Contract/Hybrid → Contract or Hybrid.
What is the difference between “Data Transfer” and “Family Sharing”?
Data Transfer: Sends a once‑off bundle (e.g. 100MB or 1GB) to another user.
Family Sharing: Available on Re plans. Allows a master account to link up to 6 Vodacom numbers and share recurring monthly data for a small fee.
How do I transfer airtime to another Vodacom user?
- Dial *135*072 [Recipient Number]* [Amount]#.
- Example: To send R20 → *135*072 082 123 4567*20#.
You can also transfer airtime via the VodaPay app or My Vodacom portal.
Allocated/promotional airtime may be restricted from transfers as per product rules.
How can I get an Airtime or Data Advance when I’m out of credit?
If you’ve been active for at least 3 months:
- Request: Dial *135*082# to see what you qualify for.
- Repayment: The advance plus a small fee (from R1.20) is deducted from your next recharge.
How do I stop or cancel a recurring data bundle?
You can cancel via:
- USSD: Dial *135*997# and manage subscriptions.
- SMS: Send “STOP ALL” to 31050.
- VodaPay App: My Account > Manage Subscriptions.
What is Vodacom PowerFlex?
PowerFlex is a monthly prepaid subscription offering contract‑style benefits (set data and minutes) with prepaid flexibility—no credit checks and cancel anytime. Available via the Vodacom website and VodaPay app.
Does my data roll over to the next month?
Most data bundles follow a 60‑day validity rule. Unused data rolls over to the next month and is used first (FIFO). Any remaining data expires at the end of the second month.
How do 7-day minutes actually work?
7 day minutes are valid for seven days from activation and apply to eligible call types per your plan rules.
Can I buy a bundle lasting 7 days via USSD?
Yes. Use the standard USSD purchase menus to buy 7 day voice or data bundles.
Can I use my data bundles while roaming internationally?
No. Local data bundles don’t work while roaming. Activate a Vodacom Travel Data Bundle before leaving SA by dialing *135*130# or using the VodaPay app.
