Prime Video Mobile Edition Reward

Terms and Conditions

Vodacom (PTY) Ltd is running a Promotion where qualifying customers will be rewarded with 12 months access to Prime Video Mobile Edition plus 3GB per month streaming data, also for 12 months.  

Prime Video Mobile Edition is a premium video streaming services that give you access the best local and international content your mobile phone. The subscription is worth R59 per month.

All participants during the Promotion Period agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

Duration

  1. The Promotional Offer is open to all selected Vodacom Prepaid customers (existing and new prepaid customers) residing in South Africa. This offer is valid from 13h00 on 23 September 2025 to 23h59 on 30 September 2025 (the Promotion Period).
  2. The duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.

Reward

  1. The Reward is 12 months access to Prime Video Mobile Edition plus 3GB 30-day streaming data bundle on us.
  2. Qualifying customers will be sent a WhatsApp message with the rewards details. Customers should reply PVME to the same message to accept the reward.
  3. Thereafter, customer will receive a link sent via WhatsApp, to register for a Prime Video Mobile Edition and access their rewards. The countdown for the rewards will start when the customer signs into the Prime Video Mobile Edition services accounts.
  4. Qualifying customers who are eligible for rewards acknowledge, understand, and agree that-
  • they will need to activate a 12-month FREE access for Prime Video Mobile Editions services in the Prime Video Mobile Edition app.
  • customers who wish to continue with Prime Video Mobile Edition services post the FREE period will be billed for R59 per month. Customers wishing not to be billed after the FREE period are required to cancel these subscriptions after the FREE period.
  • if a customer terminates, cancel or port-out his/her number, such customer forfeits the use of any unused rewards from the time of cancellation onwards.

Valid Entry

  1. To be eligible to stand receive a reward in the Promotional Offer, qualifying entrants must:
  • Receive a promotional WhatsApp message and accept the offer by responding to the message.   
  1. Customers will only qualify once for the reward during the Promotional Offer period.
  2. There are no additional charges for participating in the Competition.
  3. Vodacom shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the winners for entering the Competition or in claiming any prizes, where applicable.
  4. Data transfer speeds are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability and utilization.

Eligibility

  1. All prepaid customers qualify:
    • Customers should have been active on the Vodacom network for no less than 30 days.
    • They should be data users on smart phones or data devices.
    • They should be revenue generating.
    • Customers using the Internet of Things (IoT) or Machine to Machine (M2M) devices are excluded from this promotion.
    • Customers who have an existing Prime Video Mobile Edition promotion, or have received a similar reward in the past 12 months are excluded from this promotion.
  2. Only entrants who are using SIM cards that have been RICA registered are eligible to receive a reward in the Promotional Offer. Each owner of a SIM card(s) is responsible to comply with South African law by RICA registering their SIM cards.
  3. Participants must reside in South Africa and be in possession of a valid South African identity document or permanent residence permit or temporary residence permit valid for a period exceeding 3 (three) months for the Republic of South Africa and valid at the End Date.

Rewards

  1. All qualifying customers will receive the reward. The allocation of the reward is automated.
  2. The rewards are not transferable or exchangeable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Cancellation of the Prime Video Mobile Edition reward

  1. Customers are entitled to unsubscribe from the Prime Video Mobile Edition services at any time and for any reason by following the “cancel” prompts available within the Prime Video Mobile Edition Service menu, or by:
  • using Vodacom self-service channels.
  • calling Vodacom Customer Care: 082135.
  • dial USSD: *135#.
  • visit WEB: primevideo.com
  • via Vodapay App.
  1. When cancelling/ unsubscribing from the Prime Video Mobile Edition Service, you accept that your old profile and preferences will be retained for a 6 (six) month period and for no longer than 5 years (only if necessary), in order to facilitate a convenient experience should you choose to re-subscribe at a later stage within the 6 (six) month period.

Personal information

  1. User data collected via the promotion will not be used for any other purpose than for execution of the promotion.
  2. User data collected via entry for this promotional will be stored for as long as it is legally required to and in accordance with Vodacom’s Privacy Policy

General

  1. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit, or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
  2. Vodacom’s decision on any aspect of the Promotion including the allocation of the rewards will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  3. In the event of a dispute regarding any aspect of the promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, Vodacom’s decision will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Vodacom may refuse to award a reward if entry procedures or these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected.
  5. Vodacom and/or any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall not be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming the reward.
  6. Vodacom, its directors, employees, agents, and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any prize nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than Vodacom itself.
  7. If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Promotion or to terminate it because of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Promotional Offer being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.
  8. All information relating to the Promotion which is published on any marketing material will form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
