Vodacom Fibre TV & Laptop Giveaway Competition

Terms and Conditions

Vodacom (Pty) Ltd ("Vodacom") is running the Vodacom Fibre "TV & Laptop Giveaway" Competition ("Competition"), where qualifying customers stand a chance to win one of two exciting prizes when signing up for a new Vodacom Fibre service.

By participating in the Competition, participants agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

  1. Duration
  • The Competition is open from 00h00 on 01 October 2026 ("Start Date") until 23h59 on 31 October 2026 ("End Date"), (together the “Competition Period”)
  • Entries received outside of the Competition Period will not be eligible.
  • Winners will be drawn and announced after 31st October 2026.
  1. Prizes

Two (2) winners will be selected:

  1. One (1) winner will receive a Lenovo IdeaPad Laptop valued at approximately R10,299.
  2. One (1) winner will receive a 65-inch QLED 4K Smart TV valued at approximately R7,199.

Total prize pool value: approximately R17,498.

Prizes:

  • Are not transferable.
  • May not be exchanged for cash.
  • May not be exchanged for alternative products.
  • Are subject to availability. Vodacom reserves the right to substitute a prize with a similar product of equal or greater value should the advertised product become unavailable.
  1. Eligibility

The Competition is open only to:

  • Natural persons residing in South Africa.
  • Customers aged 18 years or older.
  • Customers who successfully sign up for a new Vodacom Fibre service during the Competition period.
  • Customers in possession of a valid South African Identity Document, passport, or valid residence permit.

The Competition excludes:

  • Existing Vodacom Fibre customers performing upgrades, migrations, renewals, speed changes, downgrades, or product transfers.
  • Employees, directors, contractors, agents, suppliers, and immediate family members of Vodacom or any agency directly associated with the administration of the Competition.
  • Business, corporate, SME, and enterprise fibre accounts.
  1. Qualifying Entry

To qualify for an entry:

  • Customers must successfully place an order for a new Vodacom Fibre service during the Competition period.
  • The fibre order must be accepted and approved by 31st October 2026. Installation and activation may occur after that date, provided the order was validly placed and approved during the Competition Period.
  • The fibre account must remain active and in good standing at the time of winner verification.
  • Each qualifying new Vodacom Fibre order constitutes one (1) entry into the Competition.
  • There is no additional cost to enter the Competition beyond the standard charges applicable to the selected Vodacom Fibre package.

An order cancelled or rejected before the winner verification shall not qualify for the Competition. Installation delays outside the customers reasonable control result in disqualification from the Competition.

  1. Winner Selection
  • Winners will be selected through a random electronic draw from all qualifying entries.
  • The draw will take place after the Competition End Date.
  • Winners will be verified prior to prize allocation.
  • The draw process and results will be independently audited or verified where required by applicable legislation.
  1. Winner Notification and Validation
  • Vodacom will attempt to contact winners using the contact information provided during the fibre application process.
  • Vodacom may contact winners telephonically, via SMS, email, or WhatsApp.
  • Vodacom will attempt to contact winners for a period of ten (10) business days.
  • Should a selected winner be unreachable, decline the prize, fail validation, or fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
  • The draw shall be overseen and certified by an independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate, as required by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2000 and applicable regulations. Vodacom will retain the required draw and competition records as required by applicable law and legislation.

To claim the prize, winners may be required to provide:

  • Proof of identity.
  • Proof of residence.
  • Any documentation reasonably required by Vodacom for validation purposes.
  1. Prize Fulfilment
  • Prizes will be delivered to winners within a reasonable period following successful validation.
  • Delivery will be limited to addresses within South Africa.
  • Ownership and risk in the prize pass to the winner upon delivery.
  • Vodacom will not be responsible for loss, theft, damage, or defects occurring after delivery, except to the extent caused by Vodacom or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits any rights or remedies available under applicable Consumer Protection legislation.
  1. Publicity
  • Vodacom may request winners' consent to use their names, photographs, likenesses, and/or voices for promotional purposes related to the Competition.
  • Winners may decline such participation without affecting their right to receive the prize.
  1. Personal Information
  • Personal information collected for purposes of this Competition will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Vodacom's Privacy Policy.
  • Information will only be used for administering the Competition and prize fulfilment unless additional consent has been obtained from the participant.
  1. General
  • Vodacom reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time where reasonably necessary.
  • Vodacom reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of fraud, manipulation, abuse, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Vodacom’s decision regarding the administration of the Competition are final, subject to applicable law and participants statutory rights.
  • Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • The Competition is conducted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
  • Any marketing material relating to the Competition must be read together with these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
