Terms and Conditions:

Vodacom Payment Services (Pty) Ltd (“VPS”) is running a  competition which is open to eligible customers who verify their email address and complete a business owners survey during the campaign period. Eligible customers stand a chance to win a R500 allocation into the VodaPay Wallet (“Prize”).

By participating in the competition  during the Competition Period agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

  1. Duration
    • The Competition will run from 20 June 2025 to 31 July 2025 (the “End Date”) and the Competition period will be referred to as the “Competition Period”.
    • The Competition Period may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of VPS.
    • VPS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions, and where such change is material, VPS shall provide its customers with reasonable prior written notice before implementing any such change.
  2. Eligibility and Participation
    • You will automatically be eligible to participate in the Competition (“Successful Participants”) if during the Competition Period:
      • You have updated and verified your email address (“Verified Email”) on the Vodapay App;
      • You have a smartphone with VodaPay App installed or can download the VodaPay App.
    • VPS shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the Successful Participants for participating in the Competition or in claiming any Prize, where applicable.
    • Employees, directors and agents of VPS and all participating stores, their immediate families, life partners, business partners and associates, and any person directly involved with the sponsoring, devising, production, management, or marketing of this Competition are not eligible to participate in this Competition.
  3. Prizes
    • By meeting the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions, you will receive one entry into the competition and stand a chance to win one allocation to the value of R500 into your VodaPay Wallet if you are a selected winner (“the Prize”).
    • Multiple entries are not allowed.
    • A total of 100 winners will be selected at random.
    • Winners may be subject to security and validation, and VPS reserves the right to withhold the Prize until it is satisfied that the claim is valid.
  4. Personal Information
    • VPS respects the right to privacy and takes the protection of your personal information seriously. VPS will only use your personal information for the purposes of the Competition as stated in these Terms and Conditions.
    • VPS may request the Successful Participants’ consent in writing to their image and/or likeness being used and published by VPS in connection with the Competition for a period of 12 (twelve) months after they have been announced as successful. The Successful Participants may decline the use of their image and/or likeness by VPS.
  5. General
    • In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Competition and/or these Terms and Conditions, VPS’s decision will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • VPS may refuse to award a Prize if any of entry procedures or these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. VPS is entitled, at its entire discretion, to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify participants that they are rejected.
    • VPS is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation and / or the Prize.
    • VPS, its directors, employees, agents, and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Prize nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than VPS.
    • If VPS is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Competition or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Competition being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against VPS and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsor.
    • Neither VPS nor any other person or party associated with the Competition, their associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Competition shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Competition or from claiming the Prize or after claiming the Prize.
    • In addition, neither VPS nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or the Prize process of the Competition.
