Terms & Conditions

  1. The promotion is applicable to New and existing Vodacom prepaid customers (excluding Community Service and SIGI customers).

  2. Post-paid, Hybrid/Top-Up, both new and existing, as well as existing prepaid customers are excluded from this promotion.

  3. A Customer only qualifies for the promotion if they have purchased a Vodacom Smart Kicka 4 smartphone during the previous Android Go campaign and will receive a qualifying SMS notifying them of their eligibility. They will receive:

    • Promotion period: 13 December 2018 until 15 March 2019 (both days inclusive).

    • A 100MB General Data allocation every month for 3 months and;

    • A 100MB YouTube bundle allocation every day for 3 months

    Customers will have to recharge with R12.00 every 30 days to unlock the free data allocation(s). A Customer has to recharge with R12 before 15 March 2019 to unlock the free data allocation(s). 15 March 2019 is the last day of recharge to get the promotion.  A customer can unlock a maximum of 3 offers for this promotion. 

  4. A Customer can qualify for the promotion if they have purchased a Huawei Y3 2018 smartphone during the previous Android Go campaign and will receive a qualifying SMS notifying them of their eligibility. They will receive:

    • Promotion period: 13 December 2018 until 15 March 2019 (both days inclusive)

    • A 200MB General Data allocation every month for 3 months and;

    • A 250MB YouTube bundle allocation every day for 3 months 

    Customers have to recharge with R29.00 every 30 days to unlock the free data allocation(s). A Customer has to recharge with R29 before 15 March 2019 to unlock the free data allocation(s). 15 March 2019 is the last day of recharge to get the promotion. A customer can unlock a maximum of 3 offers for this promotion.    

General Data Reward

  1. The General data bundle will only be activated if the new Vodacom Prepaid SIM card is inserted into the qualifying smartphone purchased at participating Vodacom Franchises or participating retailers. 

  2. The General Data Reward will be as follows:

    • 100MB for Vodacom Smart Kicka 4 smartphone and 

    • 200MB for Huawei Y3 2018 smartphone enabled smartphones 

  3. The data allocations have a 30 day validity. 

  4. Data rewards are available for use within the specified validity period of 30 days from date of activation.

  5. Allocation may take up to 72 (seventy two) hours from activation.

  6. Data may not be transferred.

  7. Data allocated does not apply to data roaming.

  8. Standard out-of-bundle rate specific to the customer's prepaid price plan will apply for any out-of-bundle usage.

YouTube Data Reward

  1. The YouTube data bundle will only be activated if the new Vodacom Prepaid SIM card is inserted into the qualifying smartphone purchased at participating Vodacom Franchises or participating retailers. 

  2. The YouTube Data Reward will be as follows:

    • A 100MB YouTube bundle daily allocation every day for 3 months on the Vodacom Smart Kicka 4 smartphone and;

    • A 250MB YouTube bundle daily allocation every day for 3 months on the Huawei Y3 2018 smartphone enabled smartphones

  3. The YouTube data bundle is valid for one day and will expire at 23:59 on the day of allocation.

  4. A YouTube bundle allocation will only be depleted for usage on YouTube on the Vodacom network through the internet or relevant app.

  5. Should the subscriber select/click on a link that directs them away from the specific URL/s [i.e. imbedded link/website], that usage will billed in accordance to the subscriber's tariff or depleted from any other valid/available data bundle.

  6. Unused offerings that expire at the end of the validity period will be forfeited and cannot be claimed back by the subscriber.

  7. Should the subscriber deplete their YouTube Bundle prior to the utilisation end time, further usage will be charged in accordance to the subscriber's tariff or depleted from any other valid/available data bundle.

  8. Allocation may take up to 72 (seventy two) hours from activation.

  9. Data may not be transferred.

  10. Data allocated does not apply to data roaming.

  11. Standard out-of-bundle rate specific to the customer’s prepaid price plan will apply for any out-of-bundle usage.

    The Promotion is only valid in selected Vodacom Franchise stores and National Chains during the Promotion Period.

    The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom.

    In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, Vodacom's decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

    Neither Vodacom or any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the competition, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from participation in the Promotion.  

    If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Promotion or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Promotion being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all participants hereby waive any rights which they may have against the Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.

    All information relating to the Promotion which is published on any marketing material will form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. 

    These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with the Vodacom standard T&Cs.
