Terms And Conditions

1. This promotion is only available to Prepaid customers

    a. uChoose, Top-Up and contract subscribers are excluded from this promotion

2. Subscribers must opt in via *111*06# to participate in the Power Up promotion

3. Subscribers can access the Power Up menu via *111*00#

4. Subscribers who opt into the Power Up promotion will receive an allocation of promotional airtime when their qualifying spend exceeds the amount indicated on a given day

5. The following usage will apply as qualifying and non-qualifying spend:


Qualifying spend

The depletion of standard airtime by the following methods:

Voice calls to any network

Video calls to any network

Out-of-bundle data usage

Out-of-bundle SMS usage

International voice & video calls

International SMS


Non-qualifying spend

All usage not listed as qualifying, including but not limited to the following:

All bundle purchases via all purchase channels (data, Power Hour, Chat for 20, My5, NightShift, Everyday Extra, etc.)

Premium rated calls and SMSs

Roaming calls and data usage

Usage prior to opting in

Airtime Transfer

The settlement of an Airtime Advance debt

Content purchases



6. Promotional airtime is valid until 23h59 on the day of allocation (i.e. no carryover)

7. Promotional airtime can only be used for the following:

    a. Local Vodacom-to-Vodacom voice calls – R2 per minute, billed per second

    b. Data usage – R2 per MB

    c. Local Vodacom-to-Vodacom SMSs – 50c per SMS

8. Promotional airtime rewards are limited to one set per day

9. Promotional airtime cannot be used for the following call types

    a. Off-net calls

    b. Video calls

    c. International calls

    d. Premium rated calls

    e. VAS calls

    f. Roaming calls

    g. Fax out dial

    h. Call Sponsor

    i. Video calls (off-net and on-net)

    j. Conference calls

    k. Reverse charge

    l. Directory enquiry calls

   m. Call forwarding

10. Promotional airtime cannot be used to purchase value added services (VASs) or bundles (voice, data or SMS)

11. Promotional airtime cannot be used to repay Airtime Advance debt (including R1 service fee)

12. Once a customer has depleted their Power Up promotional airtime they will be charged for local on-net calls, local on-net SMS and data usage as per their current price plan rate

13. Daily Free Calls free minutes following 3 continuous minutes of on-net calling will not apply for the duration of the promotional airtime 

14. Vodacom4Less discounts will not apply for the depletion/usage of the promotional airtime

15. Promotional airtime will be retained during prepaid tariff migrations

16. Prepaid subscribers who migrate to Top-Up/uChoose or Contract plans will forfeit promotional airtime

Vodacom reserves the right, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, to amend these T&Cs at any time. Vodacom may notify you of any significant changes, however there is no obligation on Vodacom to do so and it remains your responsibility to check these T&Cs regularly on the website and/or any other communications medium applicable.
