Personalised Double Your Data on My Vodacom App

Terms And Conditions

The Personalised Double your Data promotion is valid from the 17th of June 2017 until the 31st of March 2018. Vodacom reserves the right to terminate this offer at any and will provide reasonable notice of such termination as the circumstances require. The promotion is open only to customers who buy Mobile Internet data bundles exclusively (not including bundles awarded as part of their existing packages) through the latest Android and iOS Smart phone version of the My Vodacom App who are on Prepaid, Contract and Hybrid packages. Customers who purchase internet data bundles from other channels, such as USSD (*111#) and My Vodacom portals (www.vodacom.co.za or www.vodacom.mobi) will not qualify for the promotion. 

Further exclusions from the promotion include the following:

• Customers who have a data line (Mobile Broadband Bundles) will not qualify for the Double Your  Data promotion on the My Vodacom App; 

• Customers who purchase data bundles for other customers will not qualify for the Double Your  Data promotion on the My Vodacom App;

• Customers who choose to pay with a credit, cheque or debit card will qualify for the Double Your  Data promotion on the My Vodacom App, however the free bundle may take up to 24 hours to be allocated;  

• Customers who purchase a recurring mobile internet bundle will not qualify for the Double Your  Data promotion on the My Vodacom App 

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and any such amendment will be posted on Vodacom’s website within a reasonable period of such amendment taking effect.

1. You will be presented with a personalized set of Double Your Data offers on selected Mobile Internet once-off data bundles. These offers will consist of a standard Mobile Internet data bundle and a free bundle of the same size. 

2. Both bundles allocated as part of a Double Your Data offer will be valid for 30 days and will expire at 23:59 on the 30th day after the day of purchase.

3. Personalised Double Your Data offers will only be available on the My Vodacom App.

4. All Double Your Data offers are inclusive of VAT.

5. The cost of the Double Your Data bundles will be deducted from Prepaid and Hybrid customers’ airtime balance, and will be added to Postpaid customers’ bill unless purchased through a credit, cheque or debit card.

6. The data bundles will be allocated in full with no proration.

7. You are allowed to purchase multiple Double Your Data bundles. The limit is 10 purchases per day, per MSISDN.

8. The purchase of a new Double Your Data bundle will not extend the validity of an existing Double Your Data bundle.

9. There will be no Night Owl data allocation on these bundles.

10. There will be no carry-over of unused data after expiry.

11. Double Your Data bundles cannot be used for international roaming.

12. Double Your Data bundles cannot be transferred. 

13. Double Your Data bundles will have no associated out-of-bundle rate. Once the Double Your Data bundles are depleted, data usage will revert to other available data bundles, if there are no other data bundles,  data will be consumed at a per MB rate at the existing applicable out-of-bundle rate of your price plan; refer to your price plan’s applicable Terms and Conditions. 

14. You can view the balance of your Double Your Data bundles on the following channels:

• USSD (*111#)

• The My Vodacom App

• Vodacom Online Portals (www.vodacom.co.za and www.vodacom.mobi)

15. Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the service in the event of suspected abuse where non-compliant devices as specified by the regulating body ICASA are being used on the Vodacom network.
