DStv-over-Fibre terms and conditions
1.1.1. The DStv-over-Fibre Proof of Concept (POC) at the Summerfield Estate will be for a duration of three (3) months, effective from 01 August 2016 to 30 November 2016.
1.1.2. You will give reasonable access to your property for the purpose of installing, maintaining, inspecting, repairing, relocating,
replacing, testing, upgrading and/or removing the DStv-over-Fibre service.
1.1.3. The POC will be limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) customers, Vodacom reserves the right to amend (increase or decrease) the maximum amount of customer participating in the POC at its discretion.
1.1.4. You acknowledge and accept that the following DStv-over-Fibre equipment will at all times remain the ownership of Vodacom:

1.1.5. You must have an active DStv account with related smart card.
1.1.6. You accept that for the duration of the POC, Vodacom does not give any warranties in respect of the performance or otherwise of
the services that are covered by the POC.
1.1.7. Should you terminate the Vodacom Broadband Fibre services during the POC then the DStv-over-Fibre services will be terminated at
no cost to you.
1.1.8. Should you encounter any DStv related error codes you may contact Multichoice directly for support.
1.1.9. Vodacom (082 1904) will provide support for any DStv signal and installation queries.
1.1.10. You can cancel the DStv-over-Fibre service during the POC period by contacting 082 1904.
1.1.11.You agree to adhere to the Vodacom DStv-over-fibre terms and conditions which can be viewed at www.vodacom.co.za/fibre.All
existing Vodacom Fibre Broadband terms and conditions shall apply to the Vodacom Fibre Broadband service.
1.1.12. Vodacom does not warrant an uninterrupted DStv-over-Fibre service and does not offer quality of service, uptime and throughput
2. Service offering and pricing
2.1.1. Vodacom offers the delivery of the RF signal FREE of charge over the Vodacom Fibre network.
2.1.2. Vodacom will install the DStv-over-Fibre equipment FREE of charge within specifications during the POC.
2.1.3. Vodacom will waive any charges relating to the installation of the DStv-over-Fibre service during the POC.
2.1.4. You will be liable to Multichoice for the full DStv bouquet you are subscribed to.
3.1.1. Vodacom will appoint an approved installer to install the DStv-over-Fibre service at the customer’s premises.
3.1.2. The approved installer will require reasonable access to your premises.
3.1.3. The approved installer will install the DStv-over-Fibre service in accordance with the detailed installation guidelines for a standard
3.1.4. The detailed installation guidelines will include the installation specifications that will be included in a standard installation.
3.1.5. The DStv-over-Fibre service installation will include connection to one (1) end point (connect 1 DStv decoder only). If you require
any additional end points to be connected you would need to contact an approved Multichoice installer.
3.1.6. The installation will be deemed fully operational if the approved installer successfully tests the DStv-over-Fibre service to one (1)
3.1.7. You will be required to sign the customer acceptance certificate form after the successful installation and testing of the DStv-over-
3.1.8. You undertake to maintain the installation, including all equipment provided, in good order including environmental considerations.
3.1.9. You may not move or alter the DStv-over-Fibre service installation and must notify Vodacom if there is a need to move or alter the
3.1.10. Only a Vodacom approved installer may move or alter a DStv-over-Fibre service installation.
4. Service interruptions
4.1.1. You acknowledge and accept that during the DStv-over-Fibre installation the Vodacom Broadband Fibre service will be unavailable.
Vodacom envisages the downtown of the service for a minimum of four (4) hours however this may vary from time to time.
4.1.2. Vodacom will endeavour to limit service interruption occurrences to the DStv-over-Fibre service and the length thereof.
4.1.3. If you detect a service interruption in the DStv-over-Fibre, the customer has to notify Vodacom customer care of the interruption.
4.1.4. If the service interruption is traced to a customer’s DStv-over-Fibre installation or customer equipment, then Vodacom will endeavour
to rectify the fault remotely, failing which a service team will be dispatched to the customer’s premises to address the fault.
5.1.1. Vodacom accepts no liability for any loss or damage to the property or equipment of the customer arising out of the provision,
installation or maintenance of DStv-over-Fibre service including the customer’s use of the customer equipment.
5.1.2. Vodacom accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising out of the use of the DStv-over-Fibre service, including loss or damage
due to using the DStv content.
5.1.3. Vodacom does not warrant an uninterrupted DStv-over-Fibre service and does not offer quality of service, uptime and throughput
6. Non payment
6.1.1. The DStv-over-fibre service will be suspended in the event of non-payment of the Vodacom Fibre Broadband service.
6.1.2. A DStv-over-Fibre service will be reinstated only when the outstanding amount for Vodacom Fibre Broadband service has been paid
7. Termination & Cancellations
7.1.1. You can terminate participation in the trial by contacting 082 1904.
7.1.2. Vodacom will collect all DStv-over-Fibre related equipment installed at your premises.
