Abbreviated Terms and Conditions for Play Every Day


1. The competition will run from 28 October 2016 to 31 January 2017.

2. The competition can be played from Vodacom App (latest version),*111#www.vodacom.co.za and Vodacom’s mobi site.

3.      Apple is in no way affiliated with the Vodacom Play Every Day promotional competition. Apple is not a sponsor of this promotional competition, and prizes won through Vodacom Play Every Day will not include any Apple products.

4. The competition is open to all Prepaid, Hybrid and Post Paid customers and excludes Community Services numbers, cellphone numbers paid fully by a corporate and M2M.

5. Minors require their guardian’s consent to participate in this promotional competition.

6. Every customer will get one free entry per day to spin for various prizes. Additional entries can be bought for R1 per entry with a limit of 20 per cellphone number per day.

7. Each entry is valid until 23:59 on the day of allocation and shall thereafter automatically expire.

8. Prizes can be won in the following categories:

a. Voice and Data Bundle rewards

b. Digital Content rewards

c. Lifestyle Discount rewards (travel, restaurant & entertainment, apparel and other retail stores)

d. Electronic and gaming rewards

e. Vodacom Millionaire entries and rewards

The Vodacom Summer 2016 promotional competition (the Promotion) offers its customers the opportunity to participate by playing a game named “Play Every Day” and win a variety of rewards (Rewards) including, but not limited to, the following 

Vodacom network service rewards, e.g. data bundles, SMS bundles, minutes bundles for voice calls, bonus airtime

Content rewards, e.g. music, games, videos, news content

Lifestyle rewards, e.g. vouchers to be redeemed for percentage or Rand value discounts on purchases at retail or online stores, restaurants or hotels 

Vodacom Millionaires competition entries for a weekly draw to win R1 million, as well as for a monthly “Win a Guaranteed Million” draw to win R1 million

Mystery Rewards, e.g. clothing, apparel, shopping vouchers, movie tickets, electronics 

Electronics & Gaming rewards, e.g. mobile phones or accessories, gaming systems, electronic goods, appliances

Grand Rewards, e.g. one of two international holiday packages,  short-stay packages at SA hotels/resorts

on certain Terms & Conditions as detailed below in section 3 of  this document.

1. General Terms & Conditions of the Promotion

The Promotion commences on 28 October 2016 and ends at 23:59 on 31 January 2017 (the Promotional Period).  Vodacom reserves the right to change or extend the Promotional Period on reasonable prior notice.

A customer can access “Play Every Day” through multiple channels, i.e. the My Vodacom app, www.vodacom.co.za web or mobi-site, USSD on *111#, Vlive! channel or in-store at Vodacom’s authorised contract retail outlets.

Customers will be required to accept these Terms & Conditions before participating in the Promotion.   This applies to any and all channels that the customer may select to participate in the Promotion. 

By acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, the customer hereby consents to Vodacom using his/her personal information in order to market its products to him/her once the promotion has ended subject to his/her right to opt out of such marketing messages and further subject to his/her right to restrict receipt of unwanted marketing material as contained in the Consumer Protection Act of 2008.

This Promotion is available only to active Vodacom customers.

Apple is in no way affiliated with the Vodacom Play Every Day promotional competition. Apple is not a sponsor of this promotional competition, and prizes won through Vodacom Play Every Day will not include any Apple products.

All prepaid, contract, Top Up and uChoose Vodacom Consumer customers, including those who activate a new SIM card on or port in to the Vodacom network during the Promotional Period, will qualify to participate in the Promotion.  Vodacom Corporate customers with Employee Liable accounts (employee pays for additional usage on the account) are also eligible to participate in the Promotion.

The following customers are excluded from participating in the Promotion

All Vodacom Corporate customers with Corporate Liable accounts (company pays 100% of the account)

All Machine to Machine customers

Community services SIMs / phone numbers

Bulk SMS applications are not permitted to participate in the Promotion. Vodacom reserves the right to disconnect and suspend the service of non-customer SIMs and non-compliant devices as specified by the regulating body ICASA that are being used on the Vodacom network for the purposes of the Promotion.  A non-customer SIM is an application that uses a SIM card to send SMSs in volumes not possible by a natural person.

Vodacom reserves the right to change these terms and conditions and will provide participating customers with reasonable notice of such change prior to implementing such changes where such change is required under the Consumer Protection Act.

2. Terms & Conditions of the Promotion (excluding Retail Promotion) 

Eligible Vodacom customers may participate in the Promotion using one or more of the following channels:

www.vodacom.co.za web and mobi-sites

Vlive! 

My Vodacom USSD menu

Participating customers will be eligible for one (1) free Play Every Day entry each day for the duration of the Promotion.  There will be no charge to the customer for this entry.

Customers can get up to 20 More Plays  per day, and will be billed R1.00 per additional Play.


The free daily entry as well as any additional entries will expire at 23:59 on the day of allocation.

Prepaid, Top Up and uChoose customers will have the cost of each addition Play deducted from their Vodacom airtime account. 

Each Prepaid, Top Up and uChoose customer may enter the Promotion a maximum of twenty (20) times per day, in addition to the free daily entry, provided the customer has sufficient available credit in their Vodacom airtime account.


Contract customers will have the cost of each additional Play added to their monthly bill.


Each contract customer may enter the Promotion a maximum of twenty (20) times per day in addition to the free daily entry.
Vodacom reserves the right to change this daily limit.

Entries may not be transferred to another customer.

There will be no refunds for unused entries.

Vodacom is not liable for any direct or indirect costs owing due to participation in this Promotion.

Customers participating in the Promotion will be eligible to win Rewards from various categories, as set out in the Overview above and section 3 below.

Terms and conditions specific to these Rewards are detailed per category in section 3 below.

3. Terms & Conditions : Promotion Rewards


Rewards will be allocated on a random basis to customers,

Not every entry will win a reward.    In this case, a customer will receive a notification that the entry has not been successful.

Rewards may not be transferred to other customers or exchanged for cash.

Rewards are categorised as follows:

Vodacom network services rewards

Content rewards

Lifestyle rewards

Vodacom Millionaires rewards

Mystery rewards

Electronics & Gaming rewards

Grand Holiday rewards

Allocation, delivery or collection may differ for Rewards in each category. These are detailed in the relevant Reward Category section below.

Each Reward is subject to a validity period, which is specified in the sections below and in each Reward notification.

All Rewards for vouchers or items redeemed through a merchant, retail outlet or online store, will be subject to specific terms and conditions as detailed below.   These must be read in conjunction with the relevant merchant’s full terms and conditions, as per the Vodacom/merchant T&Cs.

In the case of a conflict between the Promotion Reward terms and conditions and the merchant’s standard terms and conditions, the Promotion Reward terms and conditions will take precedence.

Voice and Data Bundle Rewards

Voice minutes bundles, SMS bundles and Data bundles Rewards will be allocated immediately to a Prepaid, Top Up or uChoose customer who has won one of these Rewards.

Contract customers will be allocated these Reward bundles within 6 (six) hours of winning the Reward. 

Bundles will be available to use on the day of allocation, within any specified usage period, and will expire as per the stated validity period (e.g. DDMMYYYY HH:mm).   

Unused Reward bundles will expire and there will be no carry over or refund.

Reward bundles cannot be transferred to other customers.

Any usage that falls outside the specified usage period or after the bundle is depleted will be billed at the customer’s applicable price plan rates.

Vodacom voice minute bundles will specify usage, whether for Vodacom to Vodacom (VC-VC) calls or calls to any SA Network (Any Network).

Vodacom to Vodacom (VC-VC) Reward bundles can only be used to call other customers on the Vodacom network, subject to the exclusions listed below, and will be consumed on a per minute basis, irrespective of the customer’s applicable price plan.

Any Network Reward bundles can be used to call a customer on any South African mobile network, including Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Telkom Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Trace Mobile, FNB Connect (and any other unspecified MVNOs in South Africa), and will be consumed on a per minute basis, irrespective of the customer’s applicable price plan.

All calls initiated within the specified usage period but terminated outside of the period will deplete from the Reward voice bundle until the last minute of the Reward bundle validity period and the remainder of the call will be billed according to the customer’s existing price plan rate.

The following call types are excluded from the Vodacom voice minute bundles: 

Conference & video calls to other networks; Call Sponsor: International & roaming calls, Premium rated calls; Value Added Service (VAS) Calls; Call Forwarding; Directory Enquiry; Reconnect Calls Reverse Charge calls General Through Connect (to other networks)Service calls; Message forwarding. 

Vodacom SMS Reward bundles can be used for sending SMS to national destinations including “SMS to email” but cannot be sent to international or premium rated numbers or services. One (1) SMS is equivalent to 160 characters, including spaces.

Data sessions initiated within the specified usage period but terminated outside of the period will deplete from the Data Reward bundle until the last minute of the stated bundle validity period and the remainder of the session will be billed from an existing active data bundle or at the specified out-of-bundle rate applicable to the customer’s price plan.

Prepaid, Top Up or uChoose customers converting to contract price plans or vice versa will not be able to retain their allocated voice minutes, Data or SMS Reward bundles once the conversion is successfully completed.

Prepaid customers converting to uChoose or vice versa will retain their allocated voice minutes, Data or SMS rewards bundles after the conversion is successfully completed.

Digital Content Rewards


The following Rewards are available in this category:

Videos

Music

Games

Content 

These Rewards will be allocated immediately on winning the Reward.

The customer will receive a message indicating which Reward they have won and providing a link for the customer to access the Reward.   This message will include information regarding the usage validity period and/or expiry period of the Reward.

Confirmation messages for certain Content Rewards, including Welcome tones and Wallpapers, will be sent to the customer by SMS within 48 hours of winning the Reward. 

Video Rewards


If a customer wins a Reward that includes a free video, the customer will be able to choose one (1) video from a selection of videos available on the Vodacom Video Play service for the Promotion.   

Vodacom Video Play service is only available for mobile devices using the Android operating system.

The selected video will be downloaded during off-peak periods (overnight) and available for viewing only once downloaded.

Customers will not be charged for data used for the download of the video Reward.

Downloads are only available while the customer is on the Vodacom network within South Africa.

The video will not be available for use or download after the expiry date.

Unused Rewards in this category will not carry over or be available for download, access or use after the Reward expiry date.

Used or expired video Rewards will be erased from the customer’s device at the end of the usage validity period.

Music Rewards


If a customer wins a Reward that includes a free music track or Welcome tone, the customer will be able to choose one (1) track from a range of music tracks or Welcome Tones available for the Promotion.   

Customers will not be charged for data used for the download of the music Reward.

Music Reward downloads are only available while the customer is on the Vodacom network within South Africa.

The music track or Welcome Tone will not be available for download after the expiry date.

Unused Rewards in this category will not carry over or be available for download, access or use after the Reward expiry date.

Games Rewards


If a customer wins a Reward that includes free access to games, the customer will be able to choose from the range of games available from Vodacom Games.

If a customer wins a Reward that includes free access to games for one (1) day, this access period will commence when the customer first accesses the games and will expire 24 hours (1 day) after the time of first access.

Customers will not be charged for data used to access or play the game(s).

Access to Reward games is only available while the customer is on the Vodacom network within South Africa.

The Reward game(s) will not be available for access, use or download after the expiry date.

Unused Rewards in this category will not carry over or be available for download, access or use after the Reward expiry date.

Rewards in this category may not be transferred to other customers or exchanged for the cash equivalent or other Rewards.

Lifestyle Discount Rewards

The following Rewards are available in this category:

Shopping vouchers for discounts (percentage or Rand value) when purchasing at specified retail stores

Shopping vouchers for discounts (percentage or Rand value) when purchasing at specified online retailers

Vouchers for discounts when purchasing at specified restaurants

Vouchers for discounts on stays at selected hotels

On winning a Reward in this category, the customer will receive a message indicating which Reward they have won.   This message will include information regarding the Reward, its usage validity period and/or expiry period.

Reward vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.

Vouchers may not be transferred.

No refunds or change will be issued for Reward vouchers.


All Reward vouchers are valid until 31 January 2017 unless otherwise specified and must be redeemed at the respective merchant on or before this date; thereafter the voucher will expire and not be valid or redeemable.

 Any dispute relating to voucher redemption shall be resolved between the customer and the relevant merchant.  Vodacom assumes no liability in this regard and by acceptance of these terms and conditions the participant indemnifies Vodacom against any claim of whatsoever nature arising out of the redemption of any Reward voucher issued in terms of the Promotion.

Lifestyle Discount Rewards may be subject to merchant specific terms and conditions, as below: 

Col’Cacchio pizzerias

In order to receive their 10% discount, the customer must spend R250 or more at any Col'Cacchio pizzeria on or before 28 February 2017. 

The maximum discount value will be capped at R50. The customer must present their Reward voucher code to a Col'Cacchio pizzeria waitron or manager to qualify. Valid for sit-down and take-away orders only.

Not valid for deliveries. 

This promotion/deal may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion being run in-store or otherwise. 

Only one voucher code/deal may be used per table (i.e two or more discounts/deals cannot be applied to the same table bill). 

The Reward voucher code may only be used once. 

All codes will expire on 28 February 2017.

Edcon Group: Lifestyle Rewards

In the case of the customer being rewarded with an “Edgars” discount  voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating Edgars stores in South Africa.

In the case of the customer being rewarded with an “Edgars Active” discount voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating Edgars Active stores in South Africa.

In the case of the customer being rewarded with a “Jet” discount voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating Jet and JetMart stores in South Africa.

In the case of the customer being rewarded with a “Red Square” discount voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating Red Square stores in South Africa.

In the case of the customer being rewarded with a “CNA” discount voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating CNA stores in South Africa.

In the case of the customer being rewarded with a “Boardmans” discount voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any regular priced merchandise from any participating Boardmans stores in South Africa.

The customer must present the Reward voucher in-store in order to qualify to redeem the voucher.

The discount voucher code may not be transferred by any means to anyone else.

The discount voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including in-store discount promotions.

The discount voucher cannot be 

(1) used to pay an Edcon account; 

(2) exchanged for cash; 

(3) used to purchase cellular products (handsets and airtime); Laptops, Printers, Digital Devices or Gaming Consoles.

(4) used to purchase gift cards; or 

(5) used to purchase 3rd party items such as electricity, DSTV subscriptions, event tickets or other similar items.

The Reward voucher is valid until 28 February 2017 and may only be used once.

Unused Reward vouchers will not be redeemable after the expiry date.

Should the Reward voucher code be deleted or the customer’s cellphone lost/stolen, neither Edcon nor Vodacom will be liable for any reimbursement of any nature.

Flook Sporting Deals (Pty) Ltd

Reward voucher codes for Flook goods are only redeemable at the merchant’s online store. The customer can access the Flook online store through the link in the Reward notification message or via www.flook.co.za.  

In order to receive the stated discount, the customer must select the product specified in the Reward voucher; enter the Reward voucher code when prompted and follow the steps to checkout and registration for delivery.    The discount will only be applied after successful completion of registration for delivery.

The customer will not be charged for delivery of the goods.

Flook will not deliver to a post office box.

Reward vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.

The Reward voucher code can only be used once.

In the event of a stock out situation or if a size is not available Flook will undertake to find an alternative or to re-order the specific item.  

Flook are reliant on suppliers’ stock and inventory but every effort will be taken to find a replacement in the quickest time possible.

Should no replacement be available Flook will provide the customer with a coupon to redeem on any items in the Flook online store to the same value of the Reward voucher.

Where the code is used for physical products, Flook’s standard terms and conditions apply.

Incredible Connection

The Reward voucher discounts for Incredible Connection goods are only redeemable at the merchant’s online store. The customer can access the Incredible Connection online store through the link in the Reward notification message or via www.incredible.co.za.

In order to receive the stated discount, the customer must select the product specified in the Reward voucher; enter the Reward voucher code when prompted and follow the steps to checkout.    The discount will only be applied after successful completion of this process.

The customer will not be charged for delivery of the goods.

Incredible Connection will not deliver to a post office box.

Reward vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.

The Reward voucher code can only be used once and will expire on 31 January 2017.

In the event of a stock out situation or if a product is not available Incredible Connection will undertake to find an alternative or to re-order the specific item.  

Should no replacement be available Incredible Connection will provide the customer with a coupon to redeem on any items on the Incredible Connection online store to the same value of the Reward voucher.

Reward vouchers may not be used on any other already discounted items or special offers in the online store.

Only one code/deal may be used per purchase.

Oyster Inc

In order to receive the stated discount, the customer must present their Reward voucher code to an Oyster Inc waitron or manager to qualify.

Reward vouchers are valid from 1 November 2016 to 28 February 2017.

Only one Reward voucher may be used per visit.

This promotion/deal may not be used in conjunction with any other promotion being run in-store or otherwise.

Reward vouchers may not be used on any other already discounted items or in-house special.

Only one code/deal may be used per table (i.e two or more discounts/deals cannot be applied to the same table bill).

Southern Sun Hotel Interests t/a Tsogo Sun Hotels

In order to receive the stated discount, the customer must book and complete their stay at the hotel between 1 December 2016 and 31 January 2017.

A minimum of two (2) nights is required for each booking.

Limited rooms are available at selected hotels, over selected dates.

The 5% discount Reward voucher entitles the customer to a 5% discount on the total bill for the stay at a Select Service hotel in South Africa.  Participating Select Service hotels are:

The 10% discount Reward voucher entitles the customer to a 10% discount on the total bill for the stay at a Full Service hotel in South Africa.  Participating Full Service hotels are:

The Reward voucher is not applicable to Sun1 and Stay Easy hotels or at any Tsogo Sun hotel operating outside of South Africa.

Rates are quoted per room per night, and include breakfast. 

Up to 2 children under 18 stay and eat breakfast free when sharing with 2 adults in a family room.

A full, non-refundable prepayment is required to confirm bookings at the time the booking is made.

Rates are subject to peak periods and may not be available at certain times or over certain dates.  These include (but are not limited to):

Cape region block out dates:

24 December 2016 to 5 January 2017 both days inclusive

 Gauteng region block out dates:

24, 25 and 26 December 2016 for Palazzo Montecasino, Southern Sun Montecasino and SunSquare Montecasino

30, 31 December 2016 and 1 January 2017 for Gold Reef Theme Park

KZN region block out dates:

23 December 2016 to 14 January 2017 both days inclusive

Family rooms are not available at SunSquare Montecasino, SunSquare Suncoast, Beverly Hills, Southern Sun Hyde Park, 54 on Bath and InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers.   The child policy is therefore not applicable at these hotels.

Rates are applicable for bookings of up to 4 rooms and are not available for group and conference bookings.

Rewards Programme cardholders may not redeem or earn SunRands on these rates.

Vodacom Millionaires Rewards

The following Rewards are available in this category:

one (1) free entry to the Vodacom Millionaires weekly draw following the date of allocation of the Reward; together with  

one (1) free entry to the Vodacom Millionaires “Guaranteed Millionaire” draw following the date of allocation of the Reward

Eligibility for this Reward excludes employees, directors, members, partners, consultants and agents of, or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by, Vodacom or its marketing service providers, including the spouses, life partners, immediate family members or business partners of the people or entities mentioned above. 

Vodacom Millionaires Entry Reward

If the customer wins a Vodacom Millionaires entry Reward, they will be sent a notification confirming the Reward with a reference number and the date of the weekly draw it will be entered into.  This notification will be sent to the customer by SMS. Vodacom reserves the right to request sight of this SMS when awarding the Reward.

The customer’s Vodacom Millionaires Reward entry will be randomly assigned nine (9) letters as per competition rules.   If these letters match those drawn in the weekly draw, the entry will qualify for the standard Vodacom Millionaires cash prizes depending on the number of letters matched.

Customers may query their assigned letters by calling the Vodacom Millionaires call centre on 082 243 2082 and quoting the reference number as per the Reward confirmation SMS.  Calls to this call centre are free from a Vodacom cellphone number.

This entry will be eligible for one (1) entry on the specified draw date only.

Each weekly draw runs from 12h01 on a Tuesday until 12h00 on the following Tuesday.

Guaranteed Millionaire Reward

Each Vodacom Millionaires entry Reward includes an automatic entry for one Vodacom Guaranteed Millionaire Draw.   

The Guaranteed Millionaire Draw is a random draw conducted over and above the weekly Vodacom Millionaires 9 Letter draw.  The winner of this draw will receive a cash prize of R1 million. This Reward is not shared.

During this Promotion Period, there will be 3 (three) Guaranteed Millionaire Draws. 

Each customer who wins a Vodacom Millionaires Reward entry will be entered into the corresponding Guaranteed Millionaire Draw on the dates listed below:

29 November 2016 – will include all entries received between 29 October 2016 (09:00am) to 28 November 2016 (23:59pm)

27 December 2016 – will include all entries received between 29 November 2016 (00:00am) to 26 December 2016 (23:59pm)

31 January 2017 – will include all entries received between 27 December 2016 (00:00am) to 30 January 2017 (23:59pm)

Vodacom will use its reasonable efforts to telephonically contact the first winner drawn on the cellphone number that was used to participate in the Promotion and received the Reward.  If Vodacom is unable to contact this Reward winner after taking reasonable efforts to do so, then that person’s right to the Reward will be deemed to have been waived and the Reward will be forfeited. Vodacom reserves the right to then award the Reward to the next randomly drawn participant. 

Winners will be notified by Vodacom by telephone call.  Winners’ names and images will be published on www.vodacom.co.za and other media properties, only with the prior express permission of the winner.

Rewards that remain unclaimed after three (3) months will be forfeited.

Vodacom reserves the right to withhold the Reward until it is satisfied that the claim is valid.

Mystery Prize Rewards

The following Rewards are available in this category:

Shopping vouchers for discounts (Rand value) when purchasing at specified retail stores

Shopping vouchers for specific products at specified online retailers

Vouchers for 2D movie tickets at specified movie theatres

On winning a Reward in this category, the customer will receive a message indicating which Reward they have won.   This message will include information regarding the Reward, its usage validity period and/or expiry period.

No refunds or change will be issued for Reward vouchers.

Vouchers may not be transferred or used for payment of retail accounts.

All Reward vouchers are valid until 31 January 2017 unless otherwise specified and must be redeemed at the respective merchant on or before this date; thereafter the voucher will expire and not be valid or redeemable. 

Edcon Group

In the case of the customer being rewarded with an “Edgars” shopping voucher, the voucher code may be used by the customer to purchase any merchandise from any Edgars, Edgars Active, Red Square, Jet, JetMart, Legit, Boardmans and CNA stores in South Africa.

The customer must present the voucher together with their Edgars ThankU card in-store in order to qualify to redeem the voucher.

The Reward voucher code may not be transferred by any means to anyone else.

The Reward voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including in-store discount promotions.

The Reward voucher cannot be 

(1) used to pay an Edcon account

Ster Kinekor

The Reward voucher for Ster-Kinekor 2D movie tickets is an e-voucher redeemable for double tickets, i.e. two tickets for the same movie show.

The e-voucher is redeemable at any Ster-Kinekor Theatre in South Africa except Cine Prestige and IMAX; and is redeemable for any movie except 3D movies.

e-vouchers are redeemable at the ticket counter or self-service terminals at Ster-Kinekor Theatres only.

Each e-voucher can only be used once by the customer to whom it is issued for admission.

e-vouchers are valid for three (3) years and will expire on redemption or on the stipulated expiry date, whichever is the earlier.

Lost or stolen e-vouchers will not be replaced.

The e-voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other special, promotion and/or discount and/or club offerings.

No refunds will be made on e-vouchers.

Vodacom will use reasonable efforts to contact the winners on the cellphone number that was used to participate in the Promotion.   Vodacom will attempt to contact the winners at least three (3) times after the Reward has been awarded.  Should the participant not be available on the contact number provided during this time period, or rejects or declines acceptance of the Reward, that person’s right to the Reward will be deemed to have been waived and the Reward will be forfeited. 

Rewards must be claimed by 31 January 2017 or the end of the Promotion, whichever is the later, or they will be forfeited.   Vodacom reserves the right to award any forfeited Rewards to another participant in the Promotion.

Incentive

The Reward voucher entitles the bearer to one economy class return flight.

This voucher can be used in South Africa only on any one of the national prescribed flight routes.

The Reward is up to a maximum value of R3000 (three thousand Rand) for a return flight.

Reward vouchers will be valid until 15 July 2017.  Unused vouchers will not be redeemable after that date. 

No refunds or change will be given on a Reward voucher.

In order to redeem the Reward for return flights within South Africa, the customer must call the Incentiv call centre on 0869990743 and quote the PIN code as provided in the Reward notification SMS.

Customers will be sent a booking form for completion and return to Incentiv with a copy of their bar-coded SA ID or valid passport to complete the booking process.  Confirmation of booking will be emailed to the customer by Incentiv.

Booking is required 30 days in advance of travel.

Only one Reward voucher is redeemable per customer per booking and/or travel date.

All travel is subject to availability.  Peak periods have limited availability.

Qualifying Prepaid customers will be awarded Bonus Airtime as follows:

a customer purchasing a 3G enabled smartphone or device from the specified list who then recharges with the amount of R12.00 (can be cumulative) within the Summer period will receive R300 (three hundred Rand) Bonus Airtime to a linked Vodacom Prepaid SIM card.

Bonus Airtime Rewards will be allocated once only, when the Vodacom Prepaid SIM card is inserted into the qualifying device and the customer has achieved the specified recharge requirement.

Bonus Airtime Rewards are available for use within a specified validity period of 7 (seven) days from date of allocation.

Bonus Airtime cannot be used to purchase voice minute bundles, SMS bundles or data bundles. 

Bonus Airtime may not be transferred or exchanged for goods or cash.

Bonus Airtime can be used for calls, SMSs or data, and will be consumed at the following rates:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:


Vodacom “Huawei P9 & Woolworths Voucher” Promotion

Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is running the Vodacom “Huawei P9 & Woolworths Voucher” Promotion (“the Promotion”).

All participants during the term of the Promotion agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions:

1.    The Promotion runs from 09h00 on 07 November 2016 to 23h59 on 6 January 2017 (the “End Date”) and is open to residents in South Africa who purchase a Huawei P9 handset at a participating Vodacom store.

2.    The first 3000 (three thousand) qualifying participant will receive a free Woolworths Gift Card to the value of R2000 (two thousand Rand) bundled with the Huawei P9 handset during the promotional period as stipulated in clause 1 above.  Qualifying particpants have to redeem the Woolworths Gift Card by 16 January 2017.

3.    To qualify:

i.    Purchase the Huawei P9 handset from a participating Vodacom store during the promotional period and the first 3000 (three thousand) qualifying participants will automatically receive a unique voucher code which will appear on the printed voucher bundled with you device;
ii.    Dial *120*7748# and follow the prompts to redeem;
iii.    You will then be directed to a mobi-site where you need to enter your Name, Surname and IMEI Number of the purchased Huawei P9 handset;
iv.    You will be automatically validated on you unique code and IMEI number;
v.    Once validated, TLC will contact you and request your email address for you to send through your proof of purchase;
vi.    Once proof of purchase is received and a final validation done, you will be send an SMS with your electronic voucher number, which you can then take to your nearest Woolworths store before 16 January 2017 in exchange for an actual Gift Card with R2000 (two thousand Rand) loaded.

4.    Entries are limited to one per household.

5.    All the information provided or related to this Promotion shall be captured by TLC Marketing for the purpose of running the Promotion only.

14.    The judges’ decision on any aspect of the Promotion including the allocation of the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above, will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

16.    Neither Vodacom nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Promotion shall be liable for any costs incurred by the qualifying participants for entering the Promotion or in claiming the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above.

17.    All risks and ownership of the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above shall pass to the qualifying participant on transfer/delivery of the electronic voucher number by TLC and hence all of Vodacom’s, or any other person’s or party’s associated with the Promotion, obligations in regard to the Promotion as well as in regard to the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above shall terminate.  

18.    Notwithstanding the fact that the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above vests in the qualifying participant, any electronic voucher number send by TLC that remains unclaimed / undelivered after three (3) months of receipt thereof or no reasonable effort is made on the part of the qualifying participant to claim the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above despite having been advised of the results of the Promotion will be forfeited.

19.    TLC will contact the qualifying participants during working hours (08h00 to 17h00) via SMS to request contact details and the IMEI Number of the purchased Huawei P9 handset, as well as proof of purchase, using the cell phone number provided in entering the Promotion.

20.    TLC will use reasonable efforts to contact the qualifying participants on the contact number provided as above. Vodacom shall attempt to contact the qualifying participants for a period of 2 (two) working days after receipt of the unique voucher code, as well as after validation of the unique code and IMEI number, to provide the necessary information as stipulated in clause 3 above.

21.    Should any qualifying participant not be available on the contact number provided during the timeframe stipulated  or reject, forfeit or decline acceptance of the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above, that person's right to the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above will be deemed to have been waived and the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above will be forfeited.

22.    In the event that the user of the mobile phone (i.e. the participant in the Promotion) is not the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges, then the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above will be awarded to the person that is responsible for payment of the participating mobile phone account/ charges.

23.    Only entrants who are using SIM cards that have been RICA registered are eligible to win the Promotion. Each owner of a SIM card(s) is responsible to comply with South African law by RICA registering their SIM cards.

24.    Each qualifying participant must be able to identify themselves in a manner determined by Vodacom as the entrant of the Promotion and have to comply with the required validation procedure (determined by Vodacom) in order to claim the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above.

25.    A qualifying participant will forfeit the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above if the necessary security and validation checks are not passed or if a qualifying participant cannot accept the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above for any reason whatsoever.

26.    Vodacom reserves the right to withhold any Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above until it is satisfied that the claim by the respective qualifying participant is valid.

27.    The Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above –

i.    Has no value unless money is loaded onto the card and activated by Woolworths;
ii.    May be presented as payment for Woolworths purchases;
iii.    Purchases will be deducted from the card amount until the value reaches zero;
iv.    The value of the card can be added to at any time, at the cost of the qualifying participant;
v.    You can check your remaining balance at any till point in Woolworths;
vi.    The balance reflected on the Woolworths system is binding;

28.    The use of the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions –

i.    The card is only exchangeable for merchandise and may not be refunded or  redeemed for cash;
ii.    No cash change will be given;
iii.    The card may not be redeemed against purchases made at Engen or Woolworths stores outside of the Republic of South Africa;
iv.    The card is valid for 36 months from the date of activation, as stipulated in clause 3(vi) above;
v.    The card may not be used to make payments into any Woolworths account or Woolworths Loan or Visa account or utilities account.

29.    The Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2  is not redeemable at Woolworths stores in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia or Swaziland.

30.    The Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2  is not transferable or exchangeable and may not be redeemed for cash.

31.    Vodacom’s decision on any aspect of the Promotion including the allocation of the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 aboves will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

32.    User data collected via the Promotion will not be used for any other purpose than for the execution of the Promotion only.

33.    User data collected via the Promotion will not be used for any other purpose than for the fulfilment of the Promotion requirements and in accordance with Vodacom’s privacy policy: http://www.vodacom.co.za/vodacom/terms/privacy-policy.  If there is no legal requirement, the collected information will only be stored for as long as it is needed.
34.    The electronic voucher number stipulated in clause 3 above  will be sent via SMS as an electronic voucher number. No electronic Woolworths Gift Card will be delivered in any other way, and must be exchanged for an actual Gift Card at the qualifying participant’s nearest Woolworths store.

35.    Employees, directors and agents of Vodacom, their immediate families, life partners, business partners and associates and any person directly involved with the devising, production, management or marketing of this Promotion are not eligible to participate and win in this Promotion.

36.    The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of Vodacom and the participating stakeholders/partners.

37.    Neither Vodacom nor its agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems.

38.    Neither Vodacom nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming the Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above.  

39.    If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Promotion or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Promotion being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.

40.    Vodacom may refuse to award any Woolworths Gift Card stipulated in clause 2 above if these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. Vodacom is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any participant for any reason and will not be obliged to notify that they are rejected.  

41.    All information relating to the Promotion which is published on any marketing material will form part of these terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these terms and conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
