Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access 

Terms And Conditions

1. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan will be available to customers on Vodacom Fibre self-build and Bitstream fibre networks. 

2. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan will only be available where the Fibre build will not be completed within thirty (30) days from the time the Vodacom Fibre Broadband order has been approved.

3. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access will not be sold as a standalone product, you must have an approved Vodacom Fibre Broadband price plan to qualify for the Interim LTE Access. 

4. The Vodacom Fibre Interim Access price plan will be available to 24 month, 12 month and month-to-month Vodacom Fibre Broadband customers.

5. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access will only be provided in Vodacom self-build and Bitstream fibre networks where sufficient LTE coverage has been confirmed. 

6. You can order the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan as part of the initial Vodacom Fibre Broadband order or thereafter subject to condition 2. 

7. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access will only be available as a month-to-month price plan. 

8. If you are an existing Vodacom Fibre Broadband customer you will not be eligible to apply for the Vodacom Fibre Interim Access price plan. (where fibre is already available at the requested address).

9. If you are an existing Vodacom Fibre Broadband customer you will be eligible to apply for the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan provided fibre has NOT been installed at the requested address and meets the qualifying criteria. 

10. You will not be allowed to purchases any additional value added services on the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan. 

11. You will be allowed to purchase additional once-off LTE Data Top Up Bundles. 

Charges 

12. If you apply for the Vodacom Fibre Mobile Back-up service as part of your Vodacom Fibre Broadband price plan you will receive a new USB modem issued with the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan.  

13. If you do not request the Vodacom Fibre Mobile Back-up service as part of your Vodacom Fibre Broadband service you will be issued with refurbished USB modem as part of the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan. 

14. The refurbished modem will be collected by a Vodacom approved partner after the Vodacom Fibre is installed.  

15. You will be liable for the cost of the refurbished modem that is damaged or not returned within thirty (30) days of the Vodacom Fibre being installed. 

16. Your monthly subscription for the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access will be billed in advance.

17. If you are activated during the month you will be billed a pro-rata of the monthly subscription fee for the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan. 

18. Your first invoice will reflect the charges for the current month and the subscription for the month in advance. 

Equipment 

19. The following equipment will be delivered to you in order to provide the service, the delivery will be provided free of charge: 

• Router (Huawei HG659)

• USB modem (Huawei K5160) 

• SIM card 

20. Vodacom reserves the right to change the equipment used to provide the service from time to time. 

21. The router and USB modem will be preconfigured by Vodacom with the required LTE configurations.

22. You will be required to do a self-install of the preconfigured equipment. 

23. The router, USB modem and SIM supplied for the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan will be reused for the Vodacom Fibre Broadband service.

24. A two-year warranty will apply to all customer equipment provided by Vodacom. 

25. If the equipment supplied for the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan is damaged and falls out of the warranty process you will be liable for the costs of the replacement equipment. 

Migrations 

26. Migrations between the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plans will not be allowed, you must ensure that the correct price plan is selected when you apply for the service. 

27. You will not be allowed to migrate from any other Vodacom tariff plans to the Vodacom Fibre Broadband Interim Access price plan.

28. You will not be allowed to migrate from the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan to any other Vodacom tariff plans.

Cancellations 

29. The Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan will be cancelled immediately when your Vodacom Fibre Broadband service has been installed and activated.

30. You may cancel the Vodacom Fibre Broadband order prior to the installation and activation of the Vodacom Fibre Broadband service.

31. A change in the Fibre build roadmap where Vodacom no longer determines it is feasible to roll-out fibre. You will be notified thirty (30) days in advance regarding the mandatory cancellation where the Vodacom Fibre build roadmap has changed.

32. You can request the cancellation of the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan, subject to a thirty (30) day notification period.

33. You may cancel the Vodacom Fibre Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan service without cancelling the existing Vodacom Fibre Broadband order.

34. If you are active on the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan and you cancel the Vodacom Fibre Broadband order prior to installation of the Vodacom Fibre service you will be liable for the cost of the router and USB modem which is supplied as part of the Vodacom Fibre Interim LTE Access price plan.

35. The remainder of the costs associated with the router and USB modem (applicable where the USB modem was not paid for upfront) is determined as follows: (24 months – month in which contract is cancelled) X (router / USB modem cost / 24).
