Without insurance, repairing and replacing a phone is expensive

Without insurance, you'd have to pay the below amounts out of your own pocket for various repairs to your cellphone.

If your phone is lost or stolen, the cost to replace it would be R7 500.

All costs based on an iPhone 6s 128GB. Cost to replace is based on a service stock unit (i.e. a device without accessories).

Who can get Contract Cover?

You must have a valid South African Identity Document.

You must be between 18 and 63 years of age to apply for cover.

Must be a Vodacom Contract or Top Up customer.

  • Call us on 082 111 to block your SIM and blacklist your phone. Remember to record the ITC reference number.
  • Report the loss/theft to the police and record the case number.
  • Submit a claim online

Damaged cellphone

  • Take the device to your nearest Vodacom Repair Centre.
  • A helpful consultant will book the cellphone in for repairs/replacement.

Yes, the policy only covers the insured Device(s), used TOGETHER WITH the Vodacom SIM Card listed on your attached policy schedule.

What happens when I change my contract?

In the event that you change your contract, your existing contract cover will be terminated and you will have to request that Contract Cover be added to your new contract.
