What is Vodacom Platinum?

A Vodacom Platinum member status gives customers priority access to service with distinction.  Membership of the exclusive Platinum programme will now be confirmed by a personal invitation, subject to the terms and conditions.

Annual cellphone upgrade


Lead the pack and stay on trend with an upgrade to one of the latest cellphones every year. Twice as nice as a standard contract upgrade – an exclusive Platinum membership entitles you to one cellphone upgrade every year that you’re in the programme. You’ll be able to select a cellphone according to your existing price plan.

Stolen or Lost Mobile Devices


It happens! But it doesn’t need to be debilitating – we’re here to help. We’ll loan you a courtesy phone of the same or similar model, to use for 30 days while you arrange for your handset to be replaced. If your data device is lost or stolen, the Premium Service Desk will ensure that it is replaced, with the same or similar model, free of charge.

Replacement SIM cards


A misplaced or damaged SIM card won’t hold you up anymore. We’ll replace and deliver it free of charge. Simply call the Premium Service Desk on 082 1903.

Important information to note: 

  • Your membership has been renewed based on the current spend criteria, that is R2200 or more per month* excluding roaming and R4200 or more per month* including roaming, as per the current programme rules.
  • The new spend criteria will apply from 1 June 2016. This means that you will need to achieve an average spend of R2400 or more per month** at your membership renewal in 2017 for your Platinum membership to be renewed.
  • Once your membership has lapsed, should you increase your spend to the required level of R2 400 or more**, you will then re-qualify for the Platinum programme.
