Onyx membership changes


Due to the introduction of various new products and services to our portfolio and the ever-changing telecommunications landscape, we have revised and updated the membership criteria and rules of the Platinum programme.    

What's new?


From 1 June 2016, membership of the exclusive Vodacom Platinum programme will be available to our private customers who spend an average of R2400 or more per month*.  

Qualifying spend is based on local bill charges (i.e. charges or fees accumulated in South Africa) and is limited to spend accumulated on a single contract line.

The new programme rules and qualifying criteria will apply to existing Platinum programme members whose membership expires on or after 1 June 2016.

The following criteria will be applied at your membership anniversary date:

     • If you meet the average spend requirement  of R2400 or more per month*, your Platinum programme membership will be renewed for another 12 months

     • If you do not meet the average spend criteria of R2400 or more per month*, your Platinum programme membership will lapse.

If your membership has lapsed, you may re-qualify for the programme by increasing your monthly spend to the required level of R2400 or more per month*

Membership will continue to be reviewed annually.

* calculated over a rolling 6-month period, exclusive of handset or device financing fee, roaming and insurance
