Broadband Standard and Advanced Terms & Conditions

  1. POSTPAID / TOP UP DATA CONTRACT & BOLT-ON (Month-to-Month) SPECIFIC RULES
    • All prices include VAT.
    • You will be charged for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected.
    • Unused MB allocation will be carried over upto the last calendar day of the next month following the month in which the MB was allocated.
    • Once you have used up your bundle, the applicable out of bundle rate will apply.
    • Broadband Advanced - Out-of-bundle is Equal to In-bundle rate (IB=OB).
    • SMS messages are charged at standard rates or SMS Bundled rates if applicable.
    • Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability.
    • Utilisation of data is billed in units, where each unit equals 1 byte.
    • Out of bundle pricing is rounded off to the nearest cent.
    • Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs.
    • Tariffs do not apply to data roaming.
    • Migration terms and conditions apply.
    • Top Up Data offers will not have airtime value allocated to your airtime account.
    • If subscribes to this tariff package, you will be able to recharge your airtime account with airtime value.
    • Top Up customers subscribing to this tariff package during the first month of activation will be charged a pro-rata subscription for the first month and the relevant pro-rata bundle size will be allocated to the data bundle account.
    • Should you subscribe to a 24 month or a month-to-month Top Up Data offer, you may not subscribe to a bolt-on subscription data bundle.
    • The Top Up Data tariff package will have the same call rates as the existing Top Up 135 per second voice offer.
    • All terms & conditions contained in Vodacom's standard airtime agreement shall apply to its broadband offering.
    • Use of Vodacom's email service to transmit any unsolicited commercial or unsolicited bulk email is expressly prohibited. Should you commit a breach of this term, Vodacom shall have the right to terminate the email service immediately.
  2. PREPAID SPECIFIC RULES
    • All prices include VAT.
    • You will be charged for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected.
    • Unused MB allocation will be carried over upto the last calendar day of the next month following the month in which the bundle was purchased.
    • Once you have used up your bundle, the applicable out of bundle rate will apply.
    • Broadband Advanced - Out-of-bundles is Equal to In-bundle rate (IB=OB).
    • SMS messages are charged at standard rates or SMS Bundled rates if applicable.
    • Unlimited data bundle purchases will be allowed across tiers (Broadband Standard and Advanced)
    • The last bundle purchased, will determine the tier the customer is assigned to.
    • Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability.
    • Utilisation of data is billed in units, where each unit equals 1 byte.
    • Out of bundle pricing is rounded off to the nearest cent.
    • Broadband Standard - If session started in-bundle, the bundle is depleted and subscriber buys a new bundle, then the new bundle becomes available in the same session.
    • Broadband Standard - If session started out-of-bundle and subscribers buys a bundle, the bundle becomes available only from the next session.
    • Should the subscriber migrate to a contract package while a balance exists in their prepaid data account, the remainder of the data will be forfeited.
    • Utilisation of data is billed in units, where each unit equals 1 byte.
    • Out of bundle pricing is rounded off to the nearest cent.
    • Both recharge and error notification SMS are zero-rated.
    • Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs.
    • Tariffs do not apply to data roaming.
    • Migration terms and conditions apply.
    • Use of Vodacom's email service to transmit any unsolicited commercial or unsolicited bulk email is expressly prohibited. Should you commit a breach of this term, Vodacom shall have the right to terminate the email service immediately.
  1. AD-HOC (Once-off) SPECIFIC RULES
    • All prices include VAT.
    • You will be charged for the volume of data sent and received, and not the time you spend connected.
    • Unused MB allocation will be carried over upto the last calendar day of the next month following the month in which the bundle was purchased.
    • Unlimited Ad-hoc data bundle purchases for Postpaid, Top Up and Prepaid will be allowed.
    • Unlimited Ad-hoc data bundle purchases for Prepaid will be allowed across tiers (Broadband Standard and Advanced).
    • Broadband Standard - Postpaid and Top Up contract customer may only be provisioned with a Broadband Standard Ad-hoc (Once-off) bundle.
    • Broadband Advanced - Postpaid and Top Up contract customer may only be provisioned with a Broadband Advanced Ad-hoc (Once-off) bundle.
    • An out-of-bundle rate is not applicable to Once-off data bundles for contract subscribers.
    • SMS messages are charged at standard rates or SMS Bundled rates if applicable.
    • Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability.
    • Utilisation of data is billed in units, where each unit equals 1 byte.
    • Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs.
    • Tariffs do not apply to data roaming.

Vodacom reserves to the right to manage traffic on its network in such a way to ensure optimal performance of the network.

Vodacom reserves the right to block your access to the service if you are responsible for multiple failed attempts (due to insufficient funds) to establish a data connection. If the service has been blocked for this reason,  you may contact customer care who will reactivate the service.
