With Vodafone Passport you can easily keep track of costs while travelling. Vodafone Passport enables you to make calls, at your South African call rate (local calls and calls back to SA at peak, off-net, mobile terminating rate and international calls at international, peak call rate of your home tariff), in addition to paying a once-off connection fee of R17.50 per call. With the Vodafone Passport roaming option, you can: - Make and receive longer voice calls at a lower rate
- Send and receive SMSs (at the Vodafone World Zone rate of R2.75 per SMS sent).
- Use data to access the Internet, email and your company network (Data roaming is currently only available to Vodacom Contract customers and is not available to Top Up and Prepaid customers. Vodafone World Zone rates for data roaming will apply).
Vodafone Passport is available to all Vodacom Contract Customers on selected Vodafone Passport partner networks. Vodafone Passport is also available to selected Top Up and Prepaid customers on certain Vodafone Passport partner networks.

PLEASE REMEMBER: Accessing your voicemail (121) and calling Vodacom's dedicated Customer Contact Centre (111) while abroad is not free. Receiving a call is also not free - you will be charged a once-off connection fee of R 17.50 (incl. VAT) for every call, regardless of the length of the call.
How to activate this option
Once the basic International Roaming service has been activated on your account, to activate Vodafone Passport simply SMS 'PASSPORT ON' to 123 (free SMS within South Africa).
If you have already left SA and wish to activate Vodafone Passport, simply SMS 'PASSPORT ON' to +2782123 (R2.75 incl. VAT per SMS).
Alternatively use the self service channel www.vodacom4me.co.za.
