Now you can stay in touch using SMS messaging whilst travelling Internationally. All Vodacom customers, including Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers, can use Vodacom's SMS Roamer as a more affordable way to stay in touch with loved ones while abroad.

When you activate SMS Roamer your voice capabilities will be disabled, so anyone who calls you will be diverted to your Voicemail service where they can leave a message for you - there will be no need for you to pay additional charges to receive calls while you're abroad. You will be able to phone 112 in case of an emergency - this service is available in all foreign countries.

Once you've activated SMS Roamer you can send and receive SMS messages when you're abroad at SMS Roaming rates. When you return to South Africa it is just as easy to deactivate this service. So stay in touch with SMS Roamer, and you'll be able to spend more on what's really important when you are on holiday.
