Why SMS when you can send a Voice Note? Free up your fingers from SMSing and send people a Voice Note instead. Just dial the cellphone number, talk and hang up to have your voice message delivered. It's really that simple! Vodacom Voice Note offers Vodacom Contract, Top Up and Prepaid customers all the space needed to express themselves in their own language! Get up to 25 seconds of you-time before a warning beep lets you know that you've got 5 seconds to wrap it up!

How do I send a Voice Note

Press the ‘#’ key on your cellphone
Enter the person's cellphone number (e.g #082 123 4567)
Press ‘dial’
Listen to the voice prompts and leave your message
An SMS notification will be sent to the recipient immediately. If they have not listened to your Voice Note within 6 days, the recipient will receive another SMS notification, reminding them to listen to your message

How do I retrieve a Voice Note?

Once your Voice Note has been sent, the recipient is notified via SMS. To retrieve the Voice Note, FREE of charge, simply dial #99.

How much does it cost?

Vodacom Voice Note is available to all Vodacom customers and no subscription or activation is required. You only pay R0.45 per Voice Note you send and retrieval is FREE.
