As a Vodacom customer, you can send money to any cellphone on any network, receive money, and withdraw cash - all you need is a cellphone number!
 

Once you have money in your m-pesa account you can send it to anyone, anywhere in the country, at any time. The recipient – even if they’re not part of the Vodacom family - can then withdraw the money at over 2000 authorised m-pesa outlets across South Africa.

How do I get m-pesa?

• a cellphone with an active Vodacom SIM card
• to be 16 years or older
• a completed and signed customer registration form (you’ll get this from an m-pesa outlet)
• your proof of ID (original document and copy)
• a passport and residence permit (if you are not a South African citizen)
