Vodafone Webbox is a convenient, plug-n-play keyboard with a built-in EDGE modem and memory card that simply plugs into a television, turning your TV into a computer screen. Supported by the open source Android 2.1 platform and the Vodafone Opera Mini Browser, the Vodafone Webbox also has the added features of a video player, FM radio and picture viewer to give you an intuitive multimedia and internet browsing experience.

How do I get the Vodafone Webbox?

You will need:
  • Any television with RCA inputs
  • Vodafone Webbox
  • Active SIM card with data services activated
 
The Vodafone Webbox is available at participating Vodacom outlets.
Your purchase will include a Vodacom Starter Pack with a SIM card.
 
To activate the SIM card, insert it into a mobile handset and dial 100.
You can recharge this SIM card with airtime to browse the internet and access your emails. You are not required to activate the Vodafone Webbox device. If you have an older television set, you may have to purchase an ‘RCA to Coaxial converter’ from a television accessory store. The deal does not include an ‘RCA to Coaxial converter’.
 
 
 

How much does it cost?

The Vodafone Webbox is available at all participating Vodashops and selected Vodacom outlets and will be priced at R399.00 including VAT. The offer includes a FREE 2GB SD Card, a FREE Prepaid SIM card and 100MB of FREE data every 30 days for a year.
